Yep. Buying a Lambo is an absolutely stupid decision by these college players. If they get injured, they may never make that kind of money again, and a vehicle loses value as soon as you turn the damned key.

I remember another Texas school that tried to buy a National Championship. How did that work out?

I'm all for College players getting paid it is just getting ridiculous for these HS kids that haven't played 1 snap in college.

I will use Cormani for example 5 star with alot of demand that ended up not playing much and transferring. It is a waste of money, resources, and time. I think by paying these kids 2 things will happen. They will be forced on field to play which they might not be ready or transfer.

It's pretty fricking annoying that this NIL era is syncing up with Texas move to the SEC.

Literally any other point in time the last 15 years and they come into the conference getting embarrassed.

Now, it works out for them perfectly since they can just buy whoever they want and actually compete in the SEC.

frick Texas. Always and forever.

Gonna be unwatchable. I love college football more than anything but at this point all it’s turning into is promising 18 year olds millions of $ without a down of play yet. It’s really going to kill the hard working 3- low 4 stars that end up developing and working out better into these guys. Idk just my outlook on it. It’s a damn shame

You almost have to look at it from an MLB approach. "Big market" teams: Yankees, Dodgers, Mets, Angels, Red Sox, etc, are always going to have an advantage in buying talent over the smaller market teams. But that advantage hasn't always translated into championships and we see smaller market franchises put together great teams through (mostly) homegrown talent. Of course, keeping that talent is always the problem.

College football programs are going to have to find the sweet spot of how they want to operate. Some want to spend all of the money to buy "free agents" (transfers). Some want to spend most of the funds on HS recruits. There is a risk to both approaches, but it's probably not wise to go all in on either.

Texas may have the WRs but we have the QB in the 2025 class and that’s what matters

It’s over . If you see Miami and Texas on the list, just move on. They will always win a bidding war.

It will. I’m sure at least 2 of the LA guys will be just as good if not better than Moore and Ffffffffrench. That’s not being delusional either, look at Nabers, Jefferson, Chark etc.

Give me Shepard, Wright, and Zay Martin please.

Ok. Let them. Receiver is not a position LSU needs to be worried about trying to outbid anyone. You can’t throw a rock in Louisiana without hitting a good receiver and receiver is one of those positions it’s no big deal to not have any of the very “top rated” players in. I would never get in a biding war for a receiver or a running back because unless you have a good QB and Oline, having the best RB or receivers to ever play the game isn’t going to do you much good but having a great QB and dominate Oline can make a decent RB and receivers look amazing.

Basically the greatest receiver of all time ain’t much good if the QB can’t get the ball to him and the greatest RB of all time ain’t getting very many yards if the Oline can’t block for shite.

ROFLMFAO

Texas won’t be winning anything significant any time soon I don’t care how many 5 star players the buy.

I already said that LSU should focus on the really high potential WRs in Louisiana. That Lambo quote just adds to it. The money we were going to give to one big shot OOS WR can easily be spread among 3-4 Louisiana guys.
