At any rate, Chavis was very inconsistent at Tennessee and alongside his good years; he had some very, very awful years as well
you also claim UT has the same talent as LSU so we'll take your word for it

What is it with LSU fans making themselves feel better by dubbing everyone that recruits against them a "violation waiting to happen"?
First of all, it doesn't make me feel better. I don't care at all.
Second of all, I don't deem everyone that recruits against us to be violations waiting to happen.
Third, Orgeron certainly has not gone out of his way to show and resemblance of a man with outstanding character.
Fourth, how many violations have you self-reported to the NCAA since the coaching staff has been in place?

6 secondary violations. WHO CARES? They happen everywhere!
UGA had 12 the year before.
Ohio State has had 365 under the Tressel era.

I care. And they don't happen everywhere. Aside from that, you have plenty of time to get 6 more and beat UGA's number.
All I'm saying is feel free to surround your program with a cloud and negative publicity. That's cool too.
We'll see how things go when the teams actually step onto the field for once. You guys playing Wyoming this year?

This is why I believe the Vols when they say they have entered the race for Lache:
From BTBAT a couple of weeks ago, on the thread calling Lache an Auburn silent committ:
I told you guys a week ago that a couple of new players from the SEC were making a push for lache. Don't beleive those AU pay sites with their leaks from insider information.
Clearly, Tennessee is one of those news players. That is fine. The way I see it, the more schools Lache seriously considers, the more he shies away from an early commitment, which should give us a better chance of getting him in the end.

I agree with this. The more schools/programs he sees, the better for LSU.
Each school has some good recruiters.
Each school has its own "personality".
Each school has its pluses and minuses when it comes to schemes, personnel and depth charts.
Each school has its own history of championships.
Each school has its own history of sending players to the NFL.
Each school will have to play a full season before he can even sign a letter of intent.
If he takes all of this into consideration he will make the right decision. I am not saying it will be LSU but why the hell not?

After quickly reading through the read here are a few thoughts...
Our rivals guys feels we're in the top 2-3 for Lache, now obviously it will be extremely hard to pull him, but that is a suprise that we are even involved.
I don't know the story with Trovon, and I'm not going to pretend to. I know he likes UT, and that's about all I know. I expect us to be in his final group of schools, but he will be hard to land.
Chavis...I respect Chavis, and appreciate what he did for us, but I'm glad he's gone. His stats look good, and you can say you all have better talent, but you haven't witnessed the Mustang package yet.

You haven't witnessed the Tampa 2 yet, it's the same thing.

I said the same thing earlier in this thread. I am only saying that to say that I completely agree with you. If Lache starts looking at other schools besides Auburn, it shows the Auburn infatuation to be the flavor of the month. LSU has been there all along and has more to offer him than anyone. The more schools he looks at, the better off LSU is at this point.
Of course, I'd rather Lache just go ahead and commit to LSU.

OMG, Monte sucks dick. take it from us Saints fans. The stats lie, he is an old senile bitch.
See how easy that was?

Trovon Reed is not leaving the state, he'd go to Nicholls before he left the state

John Chavis HAS ONE STYLE. You will never hear an opposing coach at halftime say.."Coach Chavis is showing us some looks we haven't seen before'..If he is having success in the first half and the opposing coach changes..CHAVIS WILL NOT CHANGE..He made the Kraft kid at UCLA look like Joe Montana in the second half..He made Jay Cutler a first round pick because UT couldn't cover Earl Bennett with Inky Johnson..But Chavis wouldn't change and Cutler kept going to Bennett until it cost UT the game. .Remember the 2001 SECCG?..Matt Mauck and the quarterback draw..Chavis said "We weren't prepared for it"..With an Front line that included John Henderson and Albert Haynesworth..
Chavis WILL NOT ADJUST OR CHANGE...Two years ago Saban kept throwing to DJ Hall and Chavis wouldn't change..Just wait...He brings pressure and then on 3rd and long he will have the db's playing 10 yards off the WR's.
That Mustang Package is a dilly..In 06 When LSU had to drive the length of the field in the final minutes to win the game..Chavis had RYAN KARL the slowest player on the field on Early Doucet.
Good Luck with "THE CHIEF"..Can't wait until the end of the year and hear how "GREAT THE CHIEF IS"..LOL

Dude, quit with the caps and geaux away. If Chavis' team gets 4 INTs in the first half like he did against UCLA last year, we'll have 35 points on the board. You have a shitty offense, we don't. Again, please leave.

UGA had 12 the year before.
Don't worry...Kiffin only has 6 more secondary violations than wins as a college HC.

Is Lane easily becoming the most hated coach in the SEC and he hasn't even coached a game yet? Talking to other fan bases, I don't know one that likes this guy. He seems like a total idiot. Of course he did work for Al Davis....

Well, Norm Chow ADJUSTED. and "Chief" didn't..Kraft went 18-25 the second half and threw the game tying TD..when UT had just gotten the lead. Chavis goes INTO THE MUSTANG package. And UCLA goes right back at what got them a FG. Chavis WILL NOT CHANGE. If you get the lead, he will play prevent. Just hide and watch.
