Lester..... Seriously..... The coaches have opened new Orleans to LSU in the last year because of one thing only. Frank Wilson. The combination of LSU and FW is opening JC..... U know how spectacular that is in itself.

I would hope that Frank gets a massive compensation package, because he'll coach in the SEC before Nichols state. Love to see him be a true coach in waiting at LSU

Frank would take a pay cut to become HC at Nicholls. Frank Wilson has connections in NO. It is plainly fact at schools O Perry Walker, St Augustine, John Curtis, and Edna Karr; LSU will not lose a coveted prospect while Frank if our recruiting coordinator.

Grad of the Aug... Coached at Walker..St Aug grad coaching Karr... Plus he was in charge of NO athletics I think.. And JC respects him

Two freshman made 5A All-State and MaxPreps All-American this year, Fournette, and Quinn (WR from Barbe).

Recruitnik question, not to familiar with N.O. area schools but is St. Aug = Evangel of New Orleans (Private School/D1 Factory) or is there another school even more productive at churning out top talent.

D1 players:
6 in 2011 (2 to LSU, 3 to Tulane, 1 to ULL)
3 in 2010 (1 to LSU, 2 SMU)

Before Katrina:
4 in 2005 ((Rahim Alem) LSU, Auburn, West Virginia, ULL)
2 in 2003 (Louisville, Indiana (BenJarvus Green-Ellis))

Chad Jones would have graduated from there as well if not for Katrina.

They put out some good players but they play in a really tough district and never do really well in the playoffs.

He isn't playing Episcopal and Newman every week.
Those are some great numbers against real competition.

dude you are clueless. NOLA has been open up to LSU since 1999. You don't know what you are talking about.

You can count on one hand in the last decade the players LSU offered from NOLA area that turned them down to go elsewhere.

JC, as in John Curtis?

dont even get me started. As I stated, you are clueless if you think LSU isnt in good standing with john curtis.

As for St Aug, they haven't been relevant most of the decade up until about 2 years ago. As someone stated, we got Rahim Alem and Chad Jones within the last 10 years, but in between they havent churned out an LSU caliber prospect since Akeem Jolla(2000) who was a bust anyway. Just this past year is the first year htey have had LSU caliber players (the 2 OL we took)

It's the Joe McKnight effect for most. Just because he went to USC, people think we can't recruit at that high school

Let's see, between '01 - '09 we went through 3 principals, 3 head coaches, and a big enrollment drop even before Katrina... Coach DJ will take us back to the promise land though.

/I Digress

Now back to the future phenom

PS: Did anyone hear about his brother currently in the 8th grade who is just as raw and talented as his bro?

Oh, the OL will be massive, plus our SO FB will clear some lanes as well

its ridiculous

people think JT Curtis doesnt like LSU, when he had 3 nephews walk on at LSU in the early 2000s

not to mention scholarship players like carnell stewart, spadoni, chris jackson, vernon russell, jarrod carter, jerry sevin. Those guys could have went just about anywhere, and they chose LSU
