I think most of us lost interest in this kid a long time ago. He's not the kind of player you lose sleep over if he goes somewhere else, or causes you to dance in the streets if he commits to you. Just a guy.

To summarize:
Curtiss appears to be one of country’s best LBs this year;
LSU didn’t handle his recruitment well under Orgeron;
Tackett’s family, friends and Coach didn’t handle LSU’s efforts to recruit very well, either;
Curtis is not coming to LSU and has no interest in the SEC;
Curtis’s assets are strength and aggression over speed, so SEC may not be the best place for him to achieve in college;
Anything further is beating a dead horse.
Good luck to the kid .

The sad part about this recruitment is that the kid has stayed virtually silent throughout the past 2+ years. The family clearly put the uncle in charge of the recruitment and PR so Tackett could focus on football, and he’s done about as poorly as imaginable with the situation. This kid gets more hate than anyone other than Arch, yet he’s done NOTHING to get the criticism. It’s the uncle and the residents of Many who think people should be crawling on glass to recruit him.
This kid is destined to end up in the portal once he realizes that everyone else’s choices led him to live across the country for the next 4-5 years.

OSU, Wisky and SC are great places to go to school and he can get degrees at any of the three that have widespread credibility. He’s also likely to get good PT at Wisky and SC.

He could get a good degree with widespread credibility at a lot of places. He’s going to have to live 13+ hrs from home 12 months out of the year. Basing a decision off of which assistant coach recruited you the hardest is a recipe for disaster. That list of coaches will look a lot different 4 years from now when guys start getting fired/hired at different places.

LSU has a great FB tradition, but so do lots of other places.

I’ve lived in 3 different area codes in a short period of time. I realize there is life outside of Louisiana. I also realize a lot of 18 year olds from towns of 2500 people don’t generally do well moving out of their bubble across the country.

trey holley dominated the 2nd half & im glad hes committed but tackett and the defense shut him down in the 1st half. Lets just hope holley doesnt bring that Crappy attitude that his coach has to Lsu.

you are correct on most of this but it goes even further back than the coach O staff. The miles staff didnt handle a former Lsu tiger that also played at many very well either. Also jess does not hate Lsu as he also tweeted a pic from several yrs ago when tackett was a kid looking over some Lsu pics. Curtis relies on strength but dont let his speed fool ya...he also has some pretty good wheels. You are correct perkins has some advantages but tackett is not primarily concerned with the NIL either unlike perkins which will always make perkins a flight risk.

of course you being from farmerville would say this. Should i post links to the videos that say otherwise? or how about the suspension he served this past season or the drunk outburts at coaches meetings.
