That’s the reason the kid is getting sht on, he and the whole Curtis clan acted like LSU was too late and everyone in the country wanted him. We did try to recruit him after CBK arrived and they snubbed their noses up at LSU. The Coach and the whole town of Many trolled LSU after he chose USC like he was the next Golden child. Who cares you ask, I’m not bashing him but IDGAF one way or the other. If it would’ve worked out for him THEY would have been the first to smear it in our faces. Hey we got Tyler Singleton from Many after Jerkoff Jess left and he will prove to be the best of the two.

If they had said that Tackett wanted to go somewhere away from home for college then no one would have given him a 2nd thought.

Bingo. I said the same throughout his recruitment. I don’t blame the kid because as far as I know he never said anything. It was the idiots close to him, mainly the uncle, who posted on multiple boards belittling kids LSU had committed including Weeks while propping up his kid and acting like Kelly and LSU didn’t do enough to recruit their boy all the while ignoring the reality that Kelly was just coming in to LSU and was literally doing what he could possibly do yet that wasn’t enough.
Forgive the run on sentence. It’s early and I don’t care. Hope all those close to Tackett who wanted their 15 minutes of fame are happy now. Frick you machoman

I personally love to see local kids who shite on LSU fail. frick your “business decision.” The players want unconditional fan support so it’s fair that we expect loyalty from Louisiana kids at THE state flagship university. Also, more times than not it’s just a bad decision for them. Curtis would have been given every chance at LB here and even if he failed he would have forever been taken care of by the alumni network. Ask Ishmael Sopsher how his “business decision” has worked out for him and his family.

Both Burns and Curtis are from Louisiana. The difference is Major Burns came to LSU and clearly loves the school. He chose to be a Tiger.

Agreed. The “they’re kids” crap holds no credibility anymore. Not when they and/or family members have their hands out and want to be treated like professional athletes who have proven themselves worthy of some ridiculous contract. It’s a business now more than it ever was and that has consequences for everyone involved regardless of who likes it.

What i find funny is a bunch of supposed grown adults talking crap about a kid when neither him nor his family has done anything to LSU. To straighten some rumors out
#1 Jess curtis is an LSU fan contrary to what most on here believe. He was never upset with LSU but more with Ed orgeron.
#2 ed orgeron didn't recruit tackett and tacketts recruiting from LSU didn't pick up until after CBK arrived. He was coming to LSU and said he absolutely loved LSU but the USC connection was already there.
#3 the reason he transferred to wisky was bc the DC there recruited him the hardest to the point one of the local sandwich shops renamed a sandwich after the coach.

As an alumni of a school that nearly took down Many in the semis a couple years ago and worked with many Many Alumni and have heard constantly how great they are for years, I am enjoying this

Why don’t you provide us with any additional insight you have, as someone who has a relationship with this folks, how things became so adversary?
