He'd be a great pickup for the football team but a bunch of grown men who got their feelings hurt by a teenage boy on this board would be in their feelings.

Our defense was shite, our LB is razor thin and he's a Louisiana kid with talent, he should be welcomed with open arms if he wants to come home- Because we are a better football team with him regardless of how much that hurts your feelings

Alot of grown men bought into the BS rumor that his uncle hated LSU. What really happened is the clown orgeron refused to recruit the many kids & the coach didn't like the disrespect from O. Had nothing to do with LSU itself. Besides the curtis family already had connections at SC.

We had a historically bad defense and our LB recruiting has garbage the past 2 years except for weeks.
Tylen Singleton is our highest graded LB in this class. Those kids play together for years and Tackett was objectively better. Maybe singleton developed more but it's not even a real conversation who was the more impactful playmaker on those defenses.
He's a Louisiana kid, never committed/flipped from LSU, never led lsu on, never said anything bad about lsu, he was a borderline 5* with elite athletic ability.
If grown men on here don't want him it's solely due to their feelings, no one can make a rational argument to not take him.

I’ll take him because our defense is putrid and we need decent depth, but this kid is never going to be a great player at the top level. But probably serviceable, which is 50x better than Omar Speights

He was the lowest graded defender on the entire USC defense this season per PFF, and it actually wasn't even close.
44.5 overall grade, next lowest player was a 51.6 overall. Tackett missed about 25% of his tackles this season.
For reference our lowest graded defender (who played a bit) was Javien Toviano at 53.7, so significantly better than Tackett.

Wow!!! Just wow!!! First, Perkins was recruited in the 2022 class..2 classes ago. Second, the LBer recruiting THIS class is OUTSTANDING. Atkins and Keys are 2 of the 3 best LBers in Texas (maybe 2 best) and Atkins is up for the award for best player in Texas HS football...along with 11 other nominees. I have nothing for or against Curtis but to act like LBer is a position of need is silly. I like Penn...I like Perkins...I like Weeks...and I like the LBer class coming in. Plus, 3 LBers on the field at the same time is very rare.

Devin white had a 73.2 grade in his 1st season starting an a 90.0 grade in his last season here.Looking at it right now.

Had a 78.8 grade that game which is pretty good. Raw stats never tell the whole story though. The OL was the winner of that day. Fournette only had 2 missed tackles forced that entire game. The OL did some work.
Just talk to USC fans, Tackett was terrible all year this year. Again, 25% missed tackle rate nearly. That's 1 in 4 tackle attempts missed.
