Here's another story. Looks like Alonzo is about to get some more offers! Sounds like USC is in hot pursuit!

Yeah, the moment Alonzo went to Cali, A&M should have known he would be a goner.
I think things may get interesting with Benjamin again. I wish he could get his grades in better order and consider playing football more because he is the perfect big WR

He said that as soon as alonzo moved to california the aggies should have known he will not sign with A&M

Nothing seems fishy about these kids moving to Cali at all, nothing.
And yes, Williams probably won't be an Aggie when it's all said and done. He's handling his recruitment very poorly and I wouldn't be surprised if A&M tells him he no longer has a spot.

How is he handling his recruitment poorly?
I was talking to a friend from the Abbeville area and he said that Alonzo is doing the right thing because he wasn't going to get the attention he deserved if he stayed in Abbeville. Now, ESPN is writing about Alonzo, saying he might be the best player on Poly's defense, and Poly's head coach is praising him.

Because he did this:

After he committed to Texas A&M.
Besides being shitty by shopping yourself for more offers after committing, he's an idiot for thinking he needs to go to California to be seen. If he's as good as he thinks he is, he'll be found. Hell, he already was found by A&M and LSU. Either he's got issues, or he's got someone in his ear telling him lies.

Project if you can't see the quality of life benefits of moving from Abbeville to Los Angeles, I don't know what to tell you. Furthermore, the kid is balling for LB Poly - the high school with the most players in the NFL. Playing for Poly can do things for this kid that no high school in Louisiana can do for him.
Lastly, the kid made a VERBAL, NON-BINDING commitment to A&M. Therefore, either party could no longer honor their commitment if they so chose to. College football is a business and the kid is doing what's best for his own interest. I applaud Alonzo Williams, his family and whomever else for supporting him in making this move.

Why didn't you mention quality to of life the first? All you talked about was exposure. Oh, and LAs a big place. There's a lot of shitty places there too.
quote:Well, that's just plain bull shite. They aren't doing anything that no other school could do for him. In fact, the school he was at did enough for him to get scholarship offers. If he wasn't satisfied with the A&M offer, he shouldn't have accepted it.

you are focusing on the wrong thing here. You should be capitalizing commitment. Once again, if he wasn't satisfied with the A&M offer, he shouldn't have accepted it.

He had a scholarship offer, what else should he be looking out for?

Congrats, you applaud shitty behavior. You're probably a terrible person.
