LSU doesn’t have a set defensive staff.
If I had been committed to a school and now it’s possible the whole staff could be different than the one you’ve known, I’d take days to wait it out too.

Wilson is a terrible RB coach
When you have the #1 rb in the nation out of high school and you give him 10 or less carries a game then you have forfeited your leverage. Frank either accepts on off field roll or TYFYS

The day after everyone is signed, fire Wilson.

Make Wilson the Special Teams Coach if his Nawlins connections are sooo important.

You can’t give in to people holding shite over your head. You’ll never be respected. It’s about the future. We love all these kids and want them to be tigers. But we’re not giving in to leveraging against LSU. Come if you want the money. If you don’t, we look to the future.

I agree.I was just stating that besides the money and the school brand that some relationships are important to some kids. I hope LSU signs all the kids! I'm riding with LSU all day. I don't think it's a leverage thing more of they expected Frank to be there.

seriously, get the frick over it. Fank Wilson does not walk on water.

Time to rip the bandaid off even if it means losing a few recruits.

This! And people running with info you don't even know it's true. I haven't or heard one person of importance say this or hinted towards anything going on like this. It's crazy how people read something from a message board and treat it as fact.
And before you say anything about the people on the message boards being legit with their sources, see Florida's message board from the "legit" sources they had about the coaching search and see how wrong they were.
It's understandable for the guys to have some reservations about things especially when you see possible changes in staff. Relationships do still matter and how comfortable they are with a coach and program.

We've had enough of Franks games. You either love LSU or you don't. If this is all true and it appears that way, then fire his arse. LSU is way bigger than one person.

I think if Frank Wilson leaves we should just stop recruiting LA. We will never have chance to ever grab one. (Sarcasm)
Frank has never been part of a championship team at LSU and each of those rosters were loaded with LA talent.
LSU as a brand is bigger than Frank. If a kid wants to leave because Frank isn’t there then so be it. LSU will move on.
I also agree that as a player he doesn’t know who is coach is going to be. I think that is playing a bigger role than Frank.

I have been quiet about Frank but I’m telling yall he does not have that magic pull with kids in New Orleans like he has had in the past. He got Harlem bc of a previous relationship with the dad bc they went to the same HS.

You are posting this stuff in multiple threads. What makes you think you know what the conversations between Frank and Lane are? You in the room? It is entirely possible this is about Baker and/or Kyle Williams.

Frank Wilson has zero championships as a coach with LSU. His biggest recruit for Fournette who was a LSU lock to begin with.
Frank came in AFTER Miles won a title. Then after losing the championship to Bama, Frank left for a head coaching job. Failed, then came back to LSU AFTER Coach O won a title. LSU still hasn't won anything with him on staff.

I truly don't know how Frank does it, but he does continue to have a magic spell over recruits.
It first became evident to me when he had (bluechips who he wouldn't even coach, like) Jarvis Landry, Lael Collins and Freak Johnson all packaged to Tennessee. When Lane bolted to USC, Frank veered to LSU, and like the Pied-Piper, brought that package of recruits with him. I once thought it was top-secret payments, but now, in the open NIL era, it's gotta be some other form of wizardry or mysterious mafia-like control.
You don't want Frank doing that for Texas, Florida, Bama, Ole Miss, etc. You keep him on staff, no matter the optics or power struggle/dynamics.

That was a decade ago. Frank needs to GTFO

The whole reason Tiger fans want Frank to "GTFO" today is because he "allegedly" is weilding control over bluechips currently, just like he did a decade ago, but to LSU's benefit then. If the rumors are true, that means he still can cast powerful spells, so you don't want that on a rival SEC staff.

You don't retain a coach for what is essentially blackmail when he provides zero on field benefit
Posted on 12/4/25 at 10:24 am to tadelatt
why was Alabama able to poach recruits all those years then?
Posted on 12/4/25 at 10:25 am to Superfluous Tiger
LSU recruiting must have really sucked between 2016-2021 right?
