It doesn't appear that Alabama has to use that same angle to get him on campus. Which kind of tells you all you need to know.

You serious man?

Alabama has won 5 national titles in the past 9 years and they’re favored to win it again this year.

We’re playing in our first major bowl since 2012.

Our only angle is home and family.

Right now Alabama is the superior program in every way. Landing kids like him is how you change the narrative though.

right now our angle is "yo ish, we can get your bro on the team, get him a jersey and new cleats and all.

AND he can run out da tunnel."

if that ain't working then nothing will.

So basically LSU "angle" is desperation?

Thank God players like Stingley, Emery, and Thomas don't have any non D-1 prospect brothers. Otherwise, LSU's class might consist of 12 top Louisiana players and 12 guys who might make the team at Mississippi College

I love how you compare Ishmael to Stingley, Emery and Kardell.

What angles do you think the staff used to keep them home?

Easy to do when the “checks and balances” department looks the other way.

Are they not all highly ranked prospects who also call Louisiana home?

Presumably not one where they offered a football scholarship to a sibling who isn't a D-1 football prospect just so they could get the signature of the actual D-1 prospect.

How does that angle change if LSU offers only Ishmael a scholarship and not his brother? Is Louisiana not still his home?

How can anyone be shocked wherever he goes? Him going to either school is not a shock.

Kinda like the same strategy when people were saying we shouldn’t take cam sims to land cam Robinson.

It’s hilarious because their pitch is family and home. You think they were in awe of our Citrus and Texas bowl appearances?

Because right now you’re recruiting against the greatest coach of all time who can say that every kid that he’s signed this millennium has won a national title, he can point to Quinen Williams, DaRon Payne, Raekwon Davis, Ashawn Robinson, Marcel Darius and Jonathan Allen as 1st round Dlineman that he’s produced.

Right now they’re better than us and the kid is split. So what the hell do you think we’re gonna pitch to him?

The win more
They have an 8 game streak over us
They produce more 1st rounders on the Dline
They product more NFL lineman

Our angle is family and home.

And don’t give me that - He’s from Louisiana he should want to be a tiger bullshite if at the same time you want us to land Siaki Ika and one of the Mississippi boys.

There is no pride in recruiting- you do what you need to do to get these kids in campus and win. Winning guys like Ishmael is how you turn the narrative back to us being the dominant program.

Bama has moved on from Ika

Vol seems confident for LSU but I’ll never be confident on kids west of Texas

Our coaches will be with him and his family Thursday night before he goes to his visit in Gainesville. Let's see how those CB's look come Sunday night.

I’ve seen the CBs trend the wrong way before.

It happened with Etienne. About a week before he committed one guy put in CB for him to LSU then it snowballed. Then someone got real info and it went all to Clemson.

With that said- if we miss ok Ika, Sospher and finish with 1 — 3* DT in this class then some staff moves need to be made. I hope they move Meatball back to OLB coach and bring in an Ace Recruiter.

Next years Dline class is entirely too important to screw up, again.

This is silly season. Oregon is making Ika the crown jewel to top off the class.

it’s funny how Ika wanted to go to Bama but is settling for LSU or Oregon and the fan base can’t wait to get this kid but Ishmael is undecided between the two and the fan base is panicking and wants to stop recruiting him.

If Ishmael was in Houston and it was down to us and Bama people would be pumped with our opportunity to land him.

Vol, you are one of the best posters man. Thank you for sharing your info with us when you have no reason to. You are on the money with all of your stuff, and I look forward to reading your posts on regards to recruiting.

Is there a surprise recruit that may commit to us soon?

Probably some how. Problem is half of Oregon’s roster is Poly.
