Wide receiver. Grad transfer. Previously played at James Madison. Lead SC with 928 yards in 2022 but was limited to 3 games with a foot injury in 2023.

This. CBK told us he's looking at 8-9 guys and that they must be better than the talent already on the team. I'd imagine he'd offer an absolute stud but I dont think he's gonna take randos at positions we dont need. I'm thinking DL, DB, LB and maybe a backup experienced QB.

I don't know about up there with Burden, but the guy is a damn good receiver... would be a nice supplement to Lacy, Hilton + whoever of the young guys develops.

In terms of actual production? Who knows?
If Lacy doesn't come back, LSU will be returning exactly 22 receptions and 1 TD at the WR spot from this season. Anderson, Hilton, and any one of the true freshmen from this past season may be great WRs. But there is NOTHING in terms of actual production to definitively back up such an opinion.
LSU shouldn't just take a WR just to take a "body". But if there is a guy with a REAL history of solid production, the staff would be foolish not to consider him.

Wells is an NFL caliber receiver and would immediately be WR1 for pretty much any school in the country next year. That being said, seems like he really screwed SC this year after getting a big chunk of money. Rumor is he could have returned from injury but shut it down. He’ll get paid, but there is some risk of him shutting it down early next year.

Texas seems to be tampering with a few players. Evan Stewart, Juice Wells... little do they know it's gonna be their defense that does them in.
