There is no question that WW is a great recruiter and brings alot of excitement to McNeese as he did to LSU.The thing is you can`t be as STUPID as he was to get caught red handed trying to buy a player. He
embarrassed himself and more importantly LSU on a national stage.I know
alot of Tiger fans don`t care about What he did, really made LSU look bad
but some of us do.Deep down WW knows what he did was wrong and
understood LSU reasoning for firing him. With the rules the way they are
today his teams will make the tourney almost every year and get beat in
the 1st round because he is not a good X@O coach and thats what you
need in the payoffs.
Having said that it will be real exciting for your program.I just wish LSU
fans would support MM and get rid of the animosity toward him and give
him a chance.I know that will never happen but one can hope.

I hate myself for discussing this yet again in a thread about an awesome recruit. but again:

wade knows the NCAA has no legal right to tap his phone, its his right as an American to have private chats. he couldnt have anticipated that the fricking southern district of new York was gonna have some frivolous federal case going on that would ensnare him.

the southern district of new York prosecutes terrorists. they don't investigate basketball rules. coaches are not stupid for feeling safe on the phone, because the NCAA cant lawfully spy on them.

Will Wade was an excellent recruiter and a a pretty marginal coach. Those offenses were brutal to watch.

you mean the SEC champ team? the tournament teams?

wade teams were well coached. some of them had explosive offenses. one of them had an insane defense.

will wade is an excellent coach. his offenses are fine. sometimes he lets his players play isolation instead of running the Princeton offense for backdoor cuts. this is also how the NBA plays. it works.

I see Calvary Baptist and blue-chip 2027 G Tyrone Jamison split a pair of games against top-flight out of state opponents in preseason hoops.

All these anti Wade (which still COMPLETELY boggles my mind how it's a thing the way he revived the program) idiots do is parrot the bullshite everyone says about him.

You don't win EVERY MOTHERFLUCKING PLACE he's been, including dormant programs like Mcneese and Chattanooga unless you're a good coach.

He can't get ANYWHERE NEAR the quality of player at those programs than he could at LSU, yet he's arguably the best coach in the history of those two schools.

They'll continue to carry on with their ignorant takes until Wade is hired at a place that can win championships, and cares little about what figs like Prick Vitale and Dan Wolken say about their programs.

Of course at that point they'll just shut their mouths and no one will recall how wrong their opinions about Wade are.

If you don't particularly like Wade, that's fine. If you think some on the board overrate him, that's ok too. But your opinion loses all credibility with this statement....

Those offenses were some the best in the nation. Literally top 5%-10% of all teams in Wade's 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, seasons. I guess because they didn't look like the JV "Princeton" offense with great "fundamentals" some think they were bad. But the reality is they were hyper-efficient and scored a ton of points. Except for his final season at LSU defense was Wade's Achille's heel...not offense.
