I like those lineups. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing Thornhill at first if she can hit and Springfield and Sanchez split dp with Dawson at 2nd. Thornhill could also play RF, but it seems like Taryn may get that from everything I've read/seen. I agree about the slappers and then needing a power hitter

I don't know how the grad assistant thing works really. I was told she'll be here through the fall, then going to SC, that's all.

The 2018 team will definitely be different but still very talented.
Here is what we know for sure: Griggs, Serrett, and Sanchez will play no matter what. Griggs turned around a very average season and really performed well down the stretch. She is our best defensive outfielder despite limited range. Serrett had some bumps but does have real ability to play well. Sanchez is the anomaly that is in regardless.
The three spot rotation for 3B, 1B and DP will be between Doyle, Springfield and Sunseri in all likelyhood.
I like Antoine but to pencil her in for the 2 hole is pushing it. A good comparison for her is Dawson. Dawson could not break in even with two really bad players in front of her while posting very good numbers and was a better player coming in. Antoine does have an opening with Landry leaving but Thornhill and Weinberger will have some experience to help.

RF is a toss up
SS Serrett
2B Sanchez
3B Doyle
1B Springfield
DP Sunseri
C No idea who will win this spot.
The Hoover decision to return will be key to the success and we have little depth especially on the infield. This assumes no transfers in. Dawson is the only returning player with any SS or 2B experience if Serrett or Sanchez are injured.

I personally think Cunningham will end up bein the starter, she is way too talented not to.
Cunningham not playing was a bit odd considering she looked like one of the best hitters on the team from the scrimmages and such. When I saw her at practices and scrimmages she was always smashing the ball really well. I was almost certain she would be in the lineup hitting. Beth raved about her, Doyle and Springfield all preseason. I think there is a good reason why after the first two weeks we never saw her again. She can hit for power and definitely be over .300 hitter for sure.

She had a walk but hit two hard hit balls, she hit a homerun that sadly ended up just foul. 0-2 with a walk but she made a lot of amazing defensive plays. The 3B was really off with many throws.

Amanda Doyle did well yesterday with 4 RBI's on two hits, including a homerun.
