Saban would just want him to keep him off the field for LSU. Typical games coaches play. Knows he could come in to LSU right away and have an impact. Whereas at Bama, he'd prob play his Senior year.

I absolutely agree that Saban would recruit this kid just to keep the balance of power in the West on Bama's side. He knows we can't beat him next year with our current QB's!

Who cares this guy isn't going to Bama. Conspiracy Theory alert: maybe Saban needs a quarterback when he returns home? But that's unicorn fantasy. The reality is that Mett isn't going there he will have to beat out McCarron and Sims, and I doubt that happens. Too risky for Mett to take that chance.

Hopefully Mett will realize he has a great opportunity to start at LSU next season vs holding clipboards and wearing headsets for 2-3 seasons like T.C. McCartney.

first thing that came to my mind. What's the worst that could happen? One scholarship to a position you could always have more depth and frick LSU over knowing it's their one obstacle.

With his background I don't see him as a fit under Saban's Dictatorship. He's a free spirit who needs some room to breath.
