Slow down on the "2018 class is bad" talk

This forum is filled with posts shitting on the 2018 class. Right now that class is 16th on 247 composite and 11th on the 247 rankings.
Here is the kicker though, it's very probable that come Feburary we could look at this class and say that the top 5-6 players weren't even on board yet.
This class isn't going to be super elite, top 3 in the country sort of thing, but it's going to be a good one, on a down year in Louisiana. Be patient and let them close it out.

In all seriousness, this class isn't "bad"
I think it is fair to say it isn't good as the other ones we have had over the past ten years but lets see how it wraps up before we start comin out with pitch forks

If Lsu recruits classes like this yearly then competing for playoffs and bama is all but over.

It could be a great class if it addresses the biggest needs for this team next season.

Ehh, one of the major reasons of getting O was his recruiting chops. Right now it's looking meh. You can say it's going to turn out alright, but we don't know that. We have a bunch of guys that will need several years in the system, and not enough guys that could be early contributers.

who exactly are those that are saying this class is bad would they want out of this class? Dantrieze Scott, Ju Quan Griffen, Zack Sheffer? I tend to side with the staff on these type guys after this past signing class. Guys like Tory Carter and Saahdiq Charles make me not question them to quickly.

I thought Bud Elliott had an interesting passage the other day about the rankings this cycle being a little less trustworthy than usual:

I pulled up his profile at a major recruiting site and not only was his current commitment status not reflected in his profile, but he did not even have a star rating. I don’t rank kids publicly, but the number of times a coach has asked me how his kid can get a star rating, or have his profile information updated seems to be a lot more than normal.
Within FSU’s own class, I think several of its three-star players should be rated four-stars, and some of its higher-rated players should be rated lower than they are. Some much lower.

It's not a "bad class" like so many are saying. We just have a spoiled and entitled fan base.
