As I've said before, the northern part of the state has been essentially viewed (and treated) much the same as OOS recruiting. The recruits here simply do not get the same degree of evaluation and familiarization with the staff as does the southern part of the state. This is a an irrefutable fact and one TCU, Alabama & others are very aware of and capitalize on it. I have strong hopes Coach O can alter the landscape on this but I know it will not be done overnight. Missing out on Bolden stings, he is grossly underrated & it will show wherever he ends up.

As we've all known the last 4+ years.

And when the higher ranked recruits - 4*+ - are leaving again next year - it will still be about a bag man or someone on the WM staff pushing them away from LSU.

He also enjoyed when they put his picture up on the powerpoint presentation with big, bold letters that said "Gym Rat" and "Coach on the Field."

Several references to his high football IQ did not go unnoticed.

The eye doctor is Dr Bateman. Dad of former LSU golfer Brian Bateman.

A pro LSU business would get run out of Bama on a rail if one tried that shite in Alabama.

WTF is it with all those Monroe-area kids shunning LSU?

I can tell you that I have some pretty good contacts at Bayou Desiard Country Club and I have never heard this and I hear a lot of info coming out of Bayou Desiard. Now you could be right but I just have never heard this about Bill.

Is Slade Bolden really that good? It seems he is getting Cam Robinson level of attention on this board which seems a little unwarranted.

Hey, whatever it takes to make the sale - I guess.

Also, you should at least use the entire quote of what I was told and relayed to the board and not just crop it for your own agenda.

There is a reason that Alabama has great players that have won multiple championships, and continues to out-recruit all other SEC schools. I'm sure they have different styles to recruit different players.
This may just be one of the many things that he liked about his visit.

LSU couldn't even get the RB coach, WR coach, OC, on the same page to say if they even wanted him in Baton Rouge. Hell, one of them didn't even know who he was at one point. This is what's called "NOT SHOWING THE LOVE".....
Silent message to Mr. Bolden.

LSU has not made Bolden a priority since Provens committed. Can't blame a kid for taking what he feels is the best opportunity, even if you don't like it.

Yeah, because nobody from South Louisiana would dare commit to Alabama! And nobody from North Louisiana has ever made it big at LSU...

It use to be an assistant coach at West Monroe handling them. I don't know if that's still the case.
