as long as your birthday is after August 31, you can... which would be the entire regular season at 19... so yes you can, fact!

Do you see anybody breaking out of the pack? Or WM and ECA gonna be it for the near future. Doug Pederson and Johnny Booty at Calvary have a chance to break the ECA strong hold? Airline has played WM close most years. Benton up and coming?

As far as the public schools, I don't see any public school breaking out. Esp with the emergence of Calvary. ECA and Calvary are spreading the talent even thinner. Every once in a while one of the public schools will produce a Fobbs type player, but I do not think very often. I don't think any of the public schools will compete for a title. ECA & Calvary are the only chances for a title in NWLA becuase all the talent up here will filter mostly through those two schools.

If Airline played every game like they do against West Monroe, they'd be contenders.

Airline seems like the best chance to rise up because of facilities and backing. Didnt Parkway build a new school?

I went to Airline. Seems to me Haughton and particularly Benton are draining some of Airlines talent. Lots of good athletes are making the move east and north. Much of the construction in North Bossier (or at least it was) seems to be moving from the Airline district north. Many of my old friends who grew up vikes now live in Benton or Haughton.

I don't know what it was about airline, we could never beat those guys. It wasn't like they blew us away with their size or athleticism,,,,they just played great fundamentally. We had a chance to ruin their perfect season in 92 but they won 17-13. I played for Capt Shreve by the way. What happened to that guy hunter bullard, i thought he committed to lsu. he was sort of like a hester type rb.

Not sure what happened to Bullard. That was about the time I sold the house and moved to Alaska. I remember he was quite the RB. Airline back in the day had quite a few "hesters." Well, back in my day...

Was Rickey Ray on that staff at Shreve when you were there? What a tradition? Never forget that '73 team. Nothing but stars. No LSU though.

Academics aren't exactly strong at Evangel. Their valedictorian made a 17 one year on the ACT!

Their academics are the pits.

Airline is in a declining demographic zone. They will be losing students and will probably drop a classification in 3 or 4 years.
Benton, Haughton and Parkway are increasing in numbers as people move away from Airline's district.

Yeah thats kind of what I've heard. Benton I guess is the benefactor of talent. I think Miles Holliday influencing that program. A.D I think

Miles is long gone. Benton is growing due to ex-burbs factor. Lakes, forests, no crime. I'm not sure if their athletics will be enhanced but their academics will. They're getting an influx of rich people with high IQs and they don't want to ship their kids all the way to Loyola Prep in Shreveport for a decent education.

I played for shreve 91-93. We had Coach Reeve, Coach Robinson, a couple other guys i cant remember and the legendary Coach Lee Hedges would come out and act as an advisor from time to time.
