I tend to agree but if he is humbled by the experience and learns from it then maybe he is a take. I leave that to BK.

It cant be stated enough that one of the most important things the BK did when he got here is culled the locker room cancers. Not sure how he did it and who was really a problem but you can see the mental turnaround already.

Lost some good athletes - Palmer, Dwight McGlothern - they must have had some issues with alignment

I trust Kelly's decision making when to bring in guys from the portal. Hell I think he did great last year. If Kelly thinks Washington can help the team and get his shite together then he is a take. We have alot of guys out right now on DL also.

No, immature 18 year old players should not be punished for making mistakes.
If he can help us, come on home.

Considering the misses at DT in '22 and '23, it's almost a no-brainer.

I trust that if BK is interested, he will lay down the law regarding culture and discipline.

If that was the case then Denver Harris would not be here...

The state of Louisiana gives no fricks about any of the people that have, do or will live there. Why show THAT much loyalty to a place that doesn't reciprocate?

This is a false take. I have lived in Louisiana for all of my 60 years. Louisiana gave me in-state low college tuition and grants to help pay for college.

Now that I own businesses, Louisiana gives me, by virtue of my residency, the ability to completely avoid state capital gains on the sale of a business. About 8 years ago, I was able to avoid $210,000 in capital gains taxes that I would have had to pay had I been an out of state resident, or if the business had been registered out of state.

You can argue that the state does that for selfish reasons - to attract and keep businesses - but you can make that argument for every nice gesture. (Maybe I did the dishes because I thought it would help me get laid.)

I don't necessarily think that's the case... If you're turning them down out of spite, maybe. You can't expect that any kid LSU ever recruited will have a spot here if it doesn't work out somewhere else.

State pride is about being proud of where you are from and it’s people and culture, not to the government dumbass.

And the point still stands. You can do all those things in Georgia. Just because you leave a place doesn't mean you cant have "pride" in the culture and people that you came from.
Are you gonna hire a former LSU player just because he played at LSU? Would you choose a less qualified LSU alum over a more qualified UGA one? Absolutely not because it doesn't benefit YOU. And about 99% of all others would fall into that category. So again, remind me where that loyalty is reciprocated? State pride is as foolish a concept tangibly as pretending to be a sex other than male/female. It's all in your head. Nothing you can point to and say "that's that state pride kicking in". It's a concept only beneficial in petty disagreements between message board posters or for some kind of social media clout. No one really cares that much.

I think it's more that he doesn't have any game film since his freshman year of HS and didn't get the offers he hoped for out of the portal.

Are you only addressing Golden Ages take? I can agree with you if you say that he’s wrong by saying no out of spite.

Because you cannot burn bridges with coaches when you offered their players and the player said no.

LSU offered him a scholarship.
He left.

To add, no other school in the GO5 or P5 offered him.

It’s not LSUs obligation anymore. LSU did what it could do and more.

Looks like it was Bear Alexander. Wanted more money after the championship game. Got it. Wanted more money during spring practice and we said no. Good luck to him at USC but I don’t think it will work out well for him.
