With Josh newberg from on3.

Bussey and McKinley - waiting til February good news for lsu. Waiting to see how the coaching staffs shake out. Shea spoke to McKinley’s mom and relationships will be big.

Bryce underwood - little concern about visiting Bama last weekend he could but still confident in lsu chances here.

Coen echols - not sure how hard they are pushing for him, may be a numbers game with the 85 limit. Will update in the next day or 2

Either way how this shakes out, already got 2 flips and a transfer from Aggie and have a decent shot at 2 more - both 5 stars. Not a bad way to close in February!

And that's why Kelly needs to bring in quality QB competition from the portal this year. Underwood is not a guaranteed Tiger for the '25 season. There's a million & one ways his recruitment can unravel.

Shea said we’re recruiting him hard.

Does this mean a little concern(ed), or they are not concerned at all?

My bad. A little concerned just cause it’s Bama but shea was essentially saying follow the visits. Been to lsu a lot this year including Moms bday and parents anniversary

I think reading in between the lines you always got to be worried about Bama recruiting any position they just negative recruit us so well. Bama is stacked at the quarterback position but they would try and sign him just from keeping him from us.

He’s a 2025 recruit signee so him being the number one recruit and being in the NIL era. I guess you’re always gonna have to be a little apprehensive of recruits nowadays.

This is why you keep recruiting the quarterback position and with Jayden winning the heisman we definetly have plenty of ammo and Joe Sloan isn’t a slouch about recruiting back there so it kind of affirms the position for me.

I would be concerned even if he commits to us next month. Holding on to #1 Overall player's commitment for 11 months will be a tall task to accomplish.

Exactly. Shea said lsu has the number 1 office in the country this season plus 2 heisman qbs last 5 years. LSU in a good spot

Reading about their portal strategy for QB's this year was very disheartening. Basically they're looking for a backup who isn't looking to start and doesn't want NIL money because they don't want to upset Nuss and Rickie Collins.

So we'll probably end up with a 3rd string or worse QB from another lower level school that wont play meaningful snaps

Yeah, we’ve only heard this about a dozen times over the years before having the rug pulled out from under us by Saban and our insiders are ALWAYS the last to know.

Or the staff feels Nuss is better than anything in the portal, and they feel Collins is ready to back him up.

I trust the staff implicitly, at least when it comes to QB. They had three guys in the room going into spring of '22 and still made the call to bring in Daniels knowing they could lose any combination of three by doing so. With that track record, you cant possibly believe they would not bring a QB in this season just to keep Nuss and Collins.

McIntyre is the most overrated recruit I have ever seen. He’s tall. That’s it.

It’s not that common for top 3 QBs to flip once they are locked in. They tend to decide early and stick. I know the Raiola situation is looking like it’s headed for a flip, but UGA might have a hand in how it’s playing out as well. And Raiola is looking at the school his Dad played for and coaches for, so it’s a little different.

What's that got to do with your disdain for Nuss or "competition"?
