So to sum it up Wilson and Mathis looking like lsu and lsu leads with Racey and 50/50 with chaisson. Smith and Allen probably to bama. We are loaded at wr although I hate losing smith to bama.

You never want to lose out on great players, but if I had to choose between getting a top-shelf DT/OL vs. a top-shelf WR/DB, I'd almost always choose the lineman.

It's just a matter of numbers. There are always going to be more smaller fast guys compared to super athletic big men. LSU could lose out on a great WR and likely find another who is just as good or almost as good just in the state of LA. There aren't a ton of Marvin Wilson's out there for the taking.

Bama has been so dominant because they almost always control the LOS. If LSU can get Wilson/Shelvin/Mathis on the heels of Lawrence/Alexander last year, then the DL (especially tackle) becomes 3-4 deep next season. I don't give a shite who your DB's are, if the line is constantly blowing up the play it's going to be very hard for opposing offenses to do anything

Yep. You begin it by recruiting it 1 year, then doing it again the following year.

Lawrence, Alexander, Logan

Wilson, Shelvin, Mathis

That really doesn't matter. Aranda was really multiple this year and ran a bunch of 4-3 or 4-2 fronts with Arden's hand in the dirt. If we're stacked at DL, play a bunch of them.

I would be ok if we lost out on WR's this year no matter what school they went to because we already have the best DB's to defend them.

We need the control the LOS and it will make our DB's job easier.

I also agree that I hope our OL can start to live up to the hype. Having the best DL to practice against can only make them better.

Most of these guys are very versatile interior defenders though.
