In fairness to them, it's likely that (I know, captain obvious) that their sources are people inside the program and the recruits themselves. If the recruit is lying to the staff or giving them misleading confidence, that's likely what shea and billy are hearing too.

If you’re paying for true inside info you’re doing it wrong. There is typically a good amount of content but truthfully it isn’t worth the price for me at least. I was on 247 a good amount of time but eventually lost interest. This was years ago but they were putting out multiple stories a day every day. That’s what I found interesting to follow but nowadays a lot of it gets transferred here in some way shape or form.

If you don't like them, then don't pay for their services! However, they are the ones who are in communication with the players, the families, the coaches (both high school and college), and various other writers and scouts who cover high school football for a living. On most cases, they know a lot more than the average fan on a message board. Most of the information we receive will originate from one of these writers.
