No doubt. It wasn’t some never seen before offense. It was heisman qb dropping dimes. Even when they had us covered or him pressured, he made the play.

I don’t know, he was not GOOD at Dallas, offense only averaged over 25pts once, said to be too conservative, called very predictable plays in predictable situations, I do not doubt O any longer, but his track record in new and innovative offense and play calling is somewhat suspect (Scott that is). Well he’s here now and after the bashing I got saying Brady was running the offense, and was told that I must not know anything about football if that’s was what I got after watching mic’d up games, we shall see and see what he brings to the table! It’s not like Brady was LSU’s first PGC

Multiple reports listed criticism of Linehan's conservative and sometimes predictable play calls as one of the main reasons Garrett fired him.

I really hope they’re wrong about this. “Conservative” or “predictable” should never again be words used when describing LSU’s offense.

I agree with you. Didn't he lead the offense when Stafford threw for 5,000 yards and fell short by just 40 yards the following season? They had Megatron, of course, but their running game was non-existent. I don't think that he's had anything relatively close with regards to the talent that we put on the field relative to the talent of the competition. The passing concepts weren't new or special for us last season. He just needs to be able to force the personnel mismatches that brought us so much success.

BS many people on here knew Sullivan wasn’t very good at his job, go back and look at discussions on this. Most fans know we had a PGC, we also that no coach on any level made the impact Brady had on our offense fool

Building a loyal, stable staff like Dabo. Coaches content with being in one place, winning and employed. Let's Geaux!

Pelini, Linehan... I was hoping we would get some coaches in their 70s or 80s.

All the complaining about the hire. It seems some have a short memory. We had a record breaking/Heisman winning quarterback. How many times have we been in that position? Someone needs to change the nipple on the bottle around here for some of the cry babies. Trust your coach. He has a plan

Williams said he was looking for a school to get him ready for the NFL. We have the msm that can do that.

What's the problem with replacing top coaches? It's worked pretty well for Bama.

Speaking of that, Saban had to replace Linehan after he hired him as OC of the Dolphins after just one year when Linehan left to be a HC

Exactly! We now have a long time NFL OC and QB coach to do just that.

Most people don’t understand that the main passing concepts that made LSU’s offense so potent last year were levels. That’s it. Working the middle of the field with shallow to intermediate dig routes. That’s something college quarterbacks typically don’t do and Joe was able to do it at an expert level.

Definitely something Linehan is familiar with.

Still scratching my head as to why LSU would hire a lineman as a passing coordinator.
