It doesn’t matter what lsu offers this kid, he’s going out of state.

He’s one of those kids where money is number 1 and the school he picks is more like a fashion choice.. he has no loyalty to lsu and wants to have the attention of spurning the home town school

Just trust me on this

This is a guy who bailed on his friends after one week of the high school season. You think he has any loyalty?

First, I completely agree with this. But, with Michigan shitting all over the established market, and rev sharing coming (and hopefully some type of cap), does anyone else get the feeling the asking prices in the fall portal are going to be mind boggling? If so, what a bad look it would be if Kelly thought he had a lot more spending power in the portal than he actually will after today’s statements.

It’s a mess of a situation. We as fans aren’t innocent either. On one hand, we’ll complain about how unsustainable NIL and these pay days are but on the other, we want everyone fired all the time. And that’s not just an LSU thing. It’s just very rock and hard place in the recruiting world.

Good luck winning anything there. Coach will be fired soon.

This is great news. That LSU insider hasn’t been right about a major in state recruit in fricking 2 years.

I had heard that as well. I thought it was one of those "can't hurt" moves that hoped it may make a difference not deal sealer. But I hope you are right, the raw material is certainly there with that kid.

That will only get you so far. He's probably changed his mind since then.

Sam misses a lot but I wouldn’t doubt it on this guy. He is totally about NIL. Don’t know if he has seen the hit rate on DL at that school but then again these kids and parents are ignorant to making a good long term decision. Hint, I barely could pass HS classes so now I’m forgoing my senior year and moving across country to place with zero discipline. Yeah, I know how this will end.

All because his party thinks their DL coached up Aaron Donald. People are so fricking dumb, doesn’t matter who coached that guy, he was going to be elite.
Yeah, im so tired of that dumbass take. Dude was a multi time All Pro before he even got over there. He hasn't made one damn defensive lineman, yet he's getting all this credit.

Also, the people hating Kelly are fricking stupid. If this kid is dumb enough to go all the way out to USC when LSU has two of the top 5 best DL coaches in the country, helped him to reclassify early and get him in another school to do it, and is paying him a substantial amount of NIL, what the hell can you do?

He's been made a priority. Frank Wilson is personally recruiting him. USC's future looks way worse than LSU's.

If the kid doesn't want to come here, get over it. We have the coaches and recruits to build an elite DL without him.

If he comes here, great. If not, no one should lose sleep over it. We need multiple guys along the defensive front for next season. Sign an experienced guy out of the portal in his place.

It's a different world now. In years past this would be a huge loss. With the free agency free for all it no longer is. The $ to get him would allow you to get a more experienced comparable player that can help you right away. Stewart is not going to make a huge impact as freshman.

LO fricking L

I love how this board goes from crowning this kid the next GOAT to saying he ain’t shite

Losing this kid would be another huge miss in CBK’s run at LSU

The Ls keep piling up for CBK

I told y'all last week Jahkeem is headed to USC. They have made him the largest NIL offer in USC's history according to their insiders. They see him the same as Pete Carroll's first major recruit, Shaun Cody. You all are likely not paying attention but USC's recruiting is surging once again. Their NIL issues must be behind them.

What are the chances he and his crew are running the Underwood playbook to try and get more money out of us similar to Bryce with Michigan?

Just a thought

Bro what are you talking about? USC has had three major decommits recently, one of them being one of the top QBs in the country to Colorado. What “surge” are you talking about?

Stewart and his camp have been openly shopping him for $2 million a year and until maybe now no one has wanted to give him that much. But USC just had an awful season and their class isn’t that great so they might be desperate enough.

Nothing new for many. Remember the character arch of Dominick McKinley last year? He was great, then he sucked then he was great again. Only thing that ever changed was who he was committed to.

Not for 2 mil a year just to sign him. Nevermind the renegotiations yearly. He quit on his HS team. What makes you think he won't quit on his next team? Let someone else deal with the headache. Maybe take a flyer once he gets humbled and wants a change of scenery. For a significantly reduced price of course

I'm no fan of BK but I'd be more upset if he paid him than if he didn't. Serious question, is he worth more than Bryce Underwood monetarily? Why advocate to pay him more than we refused to pay Underwood? Makes not one bit of sense.
