You could find multiple examples of this throughout his time at LSU. Sage has such bad reaction time and just seems like a soft player unless the play is happening right in front of him. He’s not the attacking aggressive player we need at safety.
I’m betting he doesn’t start at Ole Miss and ends up being a depth player.

That’s probably true. He wants NOTHING to do with contact. That’s why he takes such bad angles. He’s hoping someone else will make the tackle.
The LSU LBs weren’t great (Weeks has moments). But it’s the safeties that turned what should have been 6,8, 9 yard gains into 40, 50 yard runs
