Wouldn’t be anyone you know. Admittedly, this is second hand information but from someone closer to the program than you are I. Has been informed about the incomings all offseason so far so I chose to post this.

I sincerely doubt the way LSU has been aggressive in the portal would mean they’re looking to add a safety with 0 experience and likely wouldn’t even be a starter.

The only reason I'm giving this more credence than usual is that safety is LSU's worst position, and it's the one we've seen the least portal movement on.
We've lost 3, added 1 so far, supposedly. Depends on what Delane is actually gonna play.

Downs left bama because Saban retired. NIL wasn’t the driving force. I find it hard to believe Downs would leave Ohio State to come here, unless he just wants to come back to the south. I have heard there’s a safety or two we’ve been in contact with that’s not in the portal though.

Agreed, makes zero sense and aint happening. Might be Caleb Downs back up but that would make zero sense for him to leave and already have discussed and finalized everything likes being reported. He would set the market if he entered and entertained multiple offers.
