Yeah I don’t think he started but he played 40% of defensive snaps as a freshman. He started this year off really well and flashed in the Michigan game where he has a nice INT.
Also notable that Texas had the best Safeties unit in the country this year. Mukuba was all SEC and Taffe made some All American lists I believe

There’s a Reddit thread about his injury filled with Texas fans talking about how good and athletic he was and how big of a bummer the injury was. Feels like the most honest take you’ll get in a guy like that if he hits the portal

100%. Williams will instantly be the best safety in this room if he joins. Although I do love the move of Toviano coming over. He’s 100% suited to play the position and is very athletic to go along with that.

Not worried about it. LSU is finally serious about this format of cfb and we will get a much better safety than sage frickin ryan...thank God. Gilbert wont be starting either. We will also get another olineman and maybe another surprise stud or 2. We comin.

All we were missing in regards to team building is dropping bags in the transfer portal to get the better players we were missing. If you use the portal to feel holes with the best available players then you really aren't missing anything else as long as you're recruiting well out of high school

Yep. 100% accurate. LSU has money and lots of it. LSU has a huge fanbase and has some very generous alumni/fans. All u have to do is look at the facilities they have and u know they have the resources to compete for titles.They woke up after getting outbid at the last minute for bryce underwood and the dl from new orleans that went to usc and realized that u cant count solely on your hs classes anymore like you used to be able to. So, they adjusted and hit the portal like they should to address pressing needs and our roster will be very competitive next year. Geaux Tigers.

I am not disagreeing with your point but I did not realize what is going on in the background. Most of the major programs are emptying their collectives in advance of revenue sharing and hence the price of players has gone up this year 2-4 fold. Other teams are doing what LSU is doing. It is just a matter of whether we or they are plugging gaps as well.

Hill is an upside play who’s from LA and has multiple years remaining.
Ausberry isn’t on scholarship. This has been covered many times.

JALEN CATALON — Better than Greg Brooks when they played together at Arkansas. Surprised LSU didn’t get in on him the last couple times he was in the portal. He’s a missile when healthy. Third Team All American this year at UNLV.
Has this player made a decision. He seems to be a player that could help LSU significantly.
