Similar to Florida, OU continues to recruit kids after they sign and before they announce they're hitting the transfer portal. It's a shame, but it's where college football is now and every school should be doing the same.

I assume this means we aren't completely sold on hanging onto the final spot until after spring or for next season.

Why would they? Daniels is a Top 100 player in the class. Rankled 41st overall by 247 sports and the #4 safety in the country. When a guy like that is available you go after them. He’d be a hell of an addition to this class and would give us 3 of the top 5 safety signees in the country for the class of 2021 with Ryan, Davis, and Daniels.

Article says Oklahoma looking into him. Seems weird how they reported it. Oklahoma already knows all about him so it seems they would either go after him or not.

Probably a long shot, but the article does mention LSU first and says "LSU is expected to be a player" along with Oklahoma and Oklahoma st. Really liked his junior highlights on 247. We've already loaded up on safeties in the 2021 class, but this guy arrives to the ball fast and generally with a big hit. 6'4" 190 lbs, #41 ranked player by 247, put some weight on him and he could fit in at a number of positions or roles on the defense. Looked like Marcel Brooks except can excel in coverage and most likely put on weight. Long shot but sure would make a nice final piece to the 2021 class.

Pretty sure most teams wanted this kid as a LB but he went to TAMU because he wanted to play S. At least that is the rumor mill. I imagine we’d be looking for him at LB given our position and the fact that we already have 3 safeties.

What do I know, looks to be a great player. But, we're stacked at safety and had hoped we could land a quality "big ugly" in the OL

It’d be nice to get an OL, but with all of our line returning and the transfer portal being our only option for getting one, I don’t see this happening.

I'd rather have this guy then adding a lineman
Weve got a big class of lineman next year and this guy can play multiple positions. Imagine him staying at safety and being 6 foot 4 and about 220 . Slightly intimidating
