5 star 2025 WR Jamie Ffrench decommitted from Alabama too. Nice to see these guys jumping now that they know Saban isn’t going to be their coach.

Best player out of Alabama in a while. Legit 5 star WR who reclassified to 24 instead of 25.

This.

LSU will be a player

You think lsu is actually in this?

If that's true then wow. Kid is super elite for his age. He would probably start next yr.

And those people are nuts. 6'4 220 with a sub 4.4 40 at the combine and production to match. Williams is fantastic but he's essentially Devonta Smith in style and stature. Even those shoes are gonna be tough to fill.
No harm in making our pitch.

I agree with what you are saying but I think they just mean talent wise. Kid is special.

Absolutely.

This isn’t his first visit. He’s not just taking free visits at this point. We’re in this one. Obviously I have no clue where he’s going, but kid is an absolute freak and would be a huge pull.

I think Williams will go to Auburn bc it’s 3 hours from Auburn but after looking he’s just as close to LSU.

One of my Auburn friends thinks he’s going to Auburn but we shall see. That LSU offense has been a thing of beauty as of late.

I feel like he's just leveraging Auburn to keep upping the offer. I read a few times that they put together an absurdly high offer, no way those figures can be accurate. Hopefully I am wrong and he has genuine interest in LSU, we can certainly sell a highly successful offense with a ton of targets. Auburn's QB situation is still dog shite, even if White seems like a good prospect.

I get it and anything is possible. He's definitely a very talented, moreso skilled, kid. Why I used Smith as a more apt comparison. Smiths strength is his skill not natural, God given physical freakiness. Hope we can pull a miracle and snag him.

Yep, there's only one Juilio, and this kid is 6' and 165. He's elite and I hope we get him, but he's no Julio. C'mon down to WRU and help build your resume for the Tigers!!!

They’re pretty much the same stature

Saraland is right outside of Mobile. It's about the same driving distance (3.0 hours) from there to Auburn as it is to Baton Rouge. LSU is (likely) going to put two more WRs in the first round this upcoming draft, and the last two (Jefferson and Chase) are probably two of the more well-known WRs in the NFL. That aside, there is an opportunity for immediate playing time at LSU at WR. Lacy returns...but there are still concerns he can be a true No.1 WR. The transfers from Liberty and Miss. St SHOULD play. But until it actually happens you don't know how they will perform at LSU. Hilton had a nice bowl game. But he still looks like more of just a deep threat than an all-around WR. The rising 2nd year players are still "unknowns".

Moving past the depth chart Auburn is still garbage at QB (unless they can find a transfer). LSU, on the other hand, has a guy who, if nothing else, is going to sling it all over the field. And LSU can (for now) tout they have the No. 1 QB prospect coming in next season. Oh, and the last QB at LSU won a big arse trophy last month.

Ryan Williams is still 16 though. Those measurements are from when he was 15-16. He’ll likely be bigger by the time he’s 18. He’s definitely bigger than Smith.

I think he's the best HS recruit to come out of Alabama in the last 20 years. Last year he was first 10th grader to win Mr Football...and he did that in 6A ball.

This isn't really the case at all. Yes, he is thin like Devonta, but (a) weight isn't nearly the concern coming out of HS (especially for a kid who reclassified up a year) as it is coming out of college; he's got plenty of time to add weight; and (b) there are plenty of small/light WRs who have had tons of success. The reason size/weight was so concerning with Devonta is because he wasn't a burner - he didn't overwhelm you with speed. That is NOT the case for Williams, who very much IS a burner.

Bottom line: There's no cause for concern with a WR in terms of minimum physical benchmarks unless they're lacking both size AND elite speed. If a guy is a 4.3-type runner, the fact that he's thin isn't really a big deal. Ryan Williams is a 4.3-type runner. Devonta isn't/wasn't.

I read his quote that On3 posted and it said he’s ready for a program to step up and “take the throne”. From everything we’ve heard about BK’s culture he doesn’t feel like a take for him. I do understand there are some players who are so good that they’re always a take.
