It amazes me how people can get so caught up in the star rankings. John Diarse is the best wr in the state

Agreed. He didnt get a lot of receiving yards the last 2 years b/c he is playing QB. I actually like him at safety b/c it's fun to watch him bait the opposing QB to throwing it his way and making him pay for it with 6.

He is still the best WR in this class, though.

I have never saw diarse play a down of football, but I want him at wr simply because I watched some 1on1s from a combine and he didn't look too good at db.

He was smooth at wr though

Agree with your post and agree he may very well be the best player in the state on the field. I don't think he's the best prospect in the state. Not a knock on John or his talent but there are a few others that have considerably more upside and that's why they're better prospects. Still Diarse is top 5. I do think he's the best wr in the state. If he played it in hs, most others would agree. He's a natural wr.

If we are able to reel in RSJ, arguably the best WR in the country

Isn't he already like 230 lbs? I think he ends up as a hybrid WR/TE ala DeAngelo Peterson - regardless of where he ends up going to school.

I think RSJ is still a little shy of 220 and I've always felt he would end up at TE but some kids are able to remain extremely athletic and wr speed at that size. USC has a few that were 6'5 235 and Alshon Jeffery was no small guy either. RSJ is a better athlete and faster than all those guys. I've begun to come around on the TE angle. Simialr to Derrick Griffin who's committed to TAM. Both could stick at WR imo.

Seals-Jones reportedly just recently ran a sub-4.5 forty. He is a freak athlete - every bit as gifted as Julio Jones, A.J. Green, or DGB from this past recruiting class. He is extremely explosive in the videos I have seen (or else he is competing against a bunch of 8th graders).

Unless he suffers knee or ankle problems down the road, he will remain outside. And he will be a monster.
