40 times mean a lot in the rankings. I would imagine if Emmitt Smith was coming out now, he'd be a low four star solely because these guys rank by measureables.

They also said that jeremey hill lacked explosion and top end speed. Wonder if they ate crow watching all those 40 yard td runs in the sec.
Then when some analysts were saying that trey quinn lacked break away speed!

While I get the slide for Brossette, dropping 123 spots is absurd for him.

And the reason that I get why he dropped is because hes better with the pads on than he is with the pads off, which is what every camp and showcase is. Nick is a 1 cut and up the field power RB. Hes not a guy that is going to wow you on the camp / showcase circuit because thats not the type of player he is.

And he still had a very good summer at the showcases and camps. And that is why its absurd that he dropped 123 spots, almost out of the top 250. Hes clearly a top 10 RB in the nation.

I hate the way they pretty much do a re-rank after the summer... I get some guys moving around like sleepers and guys that are supposed to be elite athletes but under achieve and vide versa, but to judge each and every player based off of what they do without pads on is kinda just flat out dumb. And to drop a kid that was, at 1 point, considered a top 3 RB in the nation 120+ spots because of what he did in shorts and t shirt is even dumber. Especially when that kid is a work horse, vertical / power RB.

And Stanley Morgan dropped a good bit as well.... smh.

I call BS. Ducre is 240 lbs and has been timed at 4.53 in the 40, but he is only ranked 213. Rivals sucks. Plain and simple. The "measureables" explanation doesn't hold up.
