So Sampah goes beast mode at the Polynesian Bowl and Rivals drops him 55 spots.

Checks out.

Why is Sampah down 54 spots?

I thought he was tearing it up at the camps and all-star games.

I said the same goofy thing about Julio Jones after he ran a 4.39 at the Combine. "But he didn't play like a 4.39 guy on the field at Bama."

Boutte will shine in LSU's system.

He was also injured for majority of the season. He did do well in the Polynesian Bowl though.

I doubt Rivals sent anyone to cover the Polynesian bowl.
I like how Boutte is the cutoff guy for their 5-star ratings.

On Boutte, I'm not going to split hairs on being in 5* or right next to 5*. They did do the right thing by raising him dramatically as they should after he dominated the all star game from WR posittion.

On Webb, I'm not surprised. Through no fault of his own, I barely knew the guy played in the all star game. I mentioned this weeks ago...blame the rules! A LBer is essentially worthless in an all star game...at least the UA and AA ones. You can't blitz and since it is more of a QB showcase than a ground game showcase, you are limited on making rushing tackles.

Because Rivals sucks.

Very interesting to hear that from a Gump. I thought Rivals was started/run by a Gump.

What the shite is this?

And Guillory/Roy have been getting rave reviews. All these articles about Guillory dominating camps and Roy was unblockable in the allstar game.

I don’t think Webb has senior film posted anywhere.

Once again, the LBer drops aren't surprising. Webb played in an all star game where LBers are worthless due to the rules of the game. Sampah played in a more obscure game...don't know what the rules are there. Plus to be fair, Webb and Sampah were higher rated on Rivals than elsewhere to begin with so they had room to drop. Actually the worst ones IMO were Guillory and Roy who had a very good all star game. And they didn't move up at all.

Sampah down 55 spots after showing out this past weekend. Sounds about right Rivals. Joke.

By being the MVP of the under armour all american game.
Great talent, but questionable character.
Personally, I hope he goes elsewhere.

Hopefully you’re referring to the Rivals rankings of the 3 LBs and not the players. Those 3 young man should be able to contribute next season and become future all-SEC caliber players.

look for some changes on 247 composite in the next few days. ESPN just updated their rankings LINK
Roy and Boutte saw an increase, but Ricks dropped to 39 overall, #4 CB.
Rivals 250 final update LINK /
r250 Rivals final e300 ESPN final
Arik Gilbert 11 9 12 6
Elias Ricks 5 6 29 39
Jaquelin Roy 74 75 71 37
Jacobian Guillory 124 81 217 215
Kayshon Boutte 64 35 52 33
Antoine Sampah 40 95 50 55
Josh White 85 88 213 212
BJ Ojulari 121 122 152 122
Phillip Webb 42 73 25 28
Marcus Dumervil 120 121 65 59
Jordan Toles 55 63 169 145
McKinnley Jackson 83 72 162 98

Sorry, that didn't turn out too well being copied from Excel. 1st # is Rivals250 ranking before update. 2nd is Rivals final 250 update. 3rd is ESPN before update. 4th is final ESPN. 247 and 247 composite should have final updates completed by next week.
