Was listening to ESPNU radio on satellite and Full Ride has on 24/7 Recruiting coordinator on. Neuheisel openly questioned why any recruit would go to LSU over Bama especially one as good as Surtain. I wonder if this was his thought on Recruiting when his teams sucked and he had to recruit against USC.
Anyone else listen to this and get legitimately angry this question is actually being asked?

Because a multi million dollar contract is better than a ring.
Would you trade a "possible" national championship ring for a million or more dollars?

If that's the case why doesn't every kid just go to bama? If I was a kid I would love to go up against the best, not join them.

Yeah I really can't think of any reasons why a top DB prospect would be interested in LSU. Truly a mystery.

Yeah no idea why a top DB would want to come to DBU and be coached by Corey Raymond. Maybe he should talk to Surtain Sr. to understand why, as a coach, he wants his kid coached by Corey.

By that logic why limit it to LSU? Why would a kid go anywhere but Bama? Why would any top recruit go anywhere but the great Bama to play for the God that is Nick Saban? Why choose Clemson,UF, Auburn, A&M, Texas, USC, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State?

Barton Simmons also said when he asked surtain where he would get immediate playing time he answered Alabama. That was part of the whole conversation but he also stated that Corey Raymond is a major reason why kids choose LSU over Alabama and that Surtain having ties to Louisiana helps as well.

Surtain is good enough to get to NFL, even if he went to somewhere like FIU. Both Bama and LSU would get him drafted.

I hope you didn't get mad at what that hack has to say... if he was any good at coaching he wouldn't be working in media in the first place
