Aleah can be like her sister in college. Consistent, clean, and score well across the board and be a major force in the AA

Aleah with her best bars score as an elite of 13.200

Are we ready to put Chiles on the Olympic team based on Winter Cup and GK Classic?

I don't even know where to begin when selecting the team this year

You could truly send a 2nd team from the US and have a lot of success

Side Note: Gage has nice looking Leo's/ LSU colored

Looks like Aleah is in 5th place right now. Outdid both of her GAGE teammates!

Side note: I’m going to love watching DiCello at Florida.

Was just about to post this. Extremely impressive considering she was behind coming off the injury. Aleah will be a major force this fall.

Aleah has the execution but lacks in difficulty. Injuries have really put her behind. But I’m so proud of her. She did an awesome job today.

Understandable. In a recent interview, I think even Aleah hinted that she was ultimately preparing for college but she truly enjoys elite and competing more difficult skills.

Will be interesting to see her routines in college, she has a very large arsenal of skills to choose from. If she does the 1.5 in college(like I expect), she could have a higher scoring potential in the AA than Sarah.

Aleah’s routines were just posted to YouTube (USA Gym). Floor was done really well. No major stumbles or breaks. Bars was a little rough and beam was fine besides the stumble on the Arabian.

Her bars are still poorly constructed. She needs a new dismount besides the double front. I had seen her training other combinations but they didn't make its way into competition routines yet.

Curious how Jay constructs her bars. He will need to teach her a new dismount. I feel its gonna be similar to Sarah's routine. The bail to handstand is much better transition for her than the pak.

With all the said she had a tremendous meet. To finish top 5 coming off the injury is incredible impressive when you consider the depth of the US. Congrats Aleah!

I can’t even comprehend that Aleah may finish with a better NCAA career than her sister. I hate to even say that, and put that kind of expectation on her gymnastics. Sarah is one of kind, and my all time favorite, and I’m such a huge fan of Aleah as well. Excited would be an understatement to how I feel that we will see her at LSU next season.

I’m so bummed we didn’t get to see Lilly today. I hope she will be healthy and ready for nationals, but I just saw it’s only 12 days away.

I was also looking really forward to seeing routines from Louisiana’s own Ella Kate Parker, but she was injured during her vault in the first rotation.

So I am just now watching and am thinking a couple of things. I think Hurd will be great for fla but not an aa. Same with Wong. I think Riley will be lucky to compete a few times a year because her poor body just seems broke. I think aleah will be a star. And lastly I’m glad my name is not Tom. I mean obviously simon and I would say Jordan, but after that I’m at a loss on the last 2. Suni is not looking great and needs to take some difficulty out of ub. Wong didn’t look great either. It actually looks like Utah will be the force not fla.

It pissed me off to hear that ella’s coach (Mary lee Tracy) pushes her too hard to do a DTY when she’s what, 13?!?! Flashbacks to Lexie being a star junior elite and then constantly injured. Seriously what is the point of having a 13 year old attempt a DTY in competition.

I will revise my vault lineup for next year. Aleah's 1.5 looks NCAA ready now.

Bob is sleeping good at night these days with that group

It looks like she grew and it seems to be throwing off some of her gymnastics, not that she still isn't great.

Olympics being pushed back may have ended up hurting a lot more people than originally thought. Most were training to peak last year and now you have to go another of training/maintenance.

Aleah's vault did look awesome. My heart is also broken for Riley. We're so close to Trials even a minor ankle injury would be major right now - and in slow motion you could see that ankle clearly wasn't around... that possibly might have done enough damage to end her Olympic hopes... oh geez, I hope I'm wrong though.

I agree about Morgan... she's just too broken to be a big factor in NCAA AA, if she chooses to go at all. She's currently listed on Simone's post Olympic tour, so it will be interesting to see if she takes the $$ and forfeits college eligibility. I mean, I don't blame her at all if she does. I would also be shocked to not see Jordan Chiles added to that tour. UCLA might be losing her commitment too.

Morgan to Florida was always one of the commits that surprised me. I thought she would be 100% UCLA.

Unfortunately for Suni I think she peaked (and was training to peak) last year. She looked fab in 2020 but is clearly not at her best now, though she's still trying to keep it going.

I agree with everything except the remark that Suni should downgrade. Yes she had an off day at this meet, but previously this year, at wintercup and AC she was fabulous. Still wishing her and Aleah had both committed to LSU, having one of them on the team is great, but having both of them on the team would be just wow. Even though it's unlikely, I'm at least keeping my hopes up that Shilese Jones can be convinced to change her commitment to LSU.

It would be awesome having Aleah, Haleigh and Kiya doing AA next season. Hoping they will all be healthy.

Morgan had said on an interview on the Half In Half Out podcast that she had considered UCLA but ultimately chose Florida because of the location (since she’s from Delaware), the coaching staff, team atmosphere, facilities, and the library (since she’s a huge reader). UCLA and Utah (her other top choices) were just too far away.

Given that Jeff Graba, Auburn’s head coach, is the twin brother of Suni’s current coach in elite, her coming to LSU was quite unlikely and I’m guessing that Auburn was always the only school that she seriously considered as soon as Jeff started coaching there.
