Watch for Coen potentially. She really enjoyed her visit.

I want Kylie Coen so bad! Her bars are beautiful and I fell in love with her floor routine this last year.

I personally think she is the best level 10 prospect of the class. When Florida, Utah and OU are throwing the house at her, you know she's the real deal. She is just polished everywhere and honestly is gonna score really well early in her career because of that.

If you wanted to go into social media stalking, she just started following a bunch of LSU stuff (university stuff, Mike the Tiger, gymnasts here, etc).

Leah Miller is a JPAC girl, same gym as Gantner which could sway Gantner towards LSU

That layout series is a killer. Not sure why it’s in the routine right now when it isn’t consistent enough. The beam routine is terrific outside that part right now

I agree but this experience is huge for her. She really needed it going forward. Scoring wise.

So happy for her! Does this take LSU out of the running for Mo Price and Amari scholarship limit wise?

We have 3 on scholarship now with one walk on. I think they take one more although having elites committed can change things if they attempt for 2024, many kids defer a year because of that. Konnor is one that I ultimately think defers a year if she can stay healthy.

I personally think Jay wants to cap this class off with Amari Drayton but if she doesn't want in then I think Price is still a terrific grab. You can't take all unfortunately.

Jay's first recruiting class is an A+

I agree. Even if they don’t get Amari or Morgan, I will still follow their careers. Most likely they’d land at Arkansas or Bama. I know Bama is on Amari hard and Morgan’s sister Frankie is at Arkansas.

That is incredibly well executed! So nice and beautiful!

Also, PUMPED about Kylie! There is no other program in the country right now that has the recruiting momentum that LSU has in that 2023 class. Jay and the staff have done a fantastic job. It’s like the zeroed in on who they wanted, and so far check, check, check.

I am also liking the choreography so far. I appreciate what AKC did for us and liked her floor routines but excited too for something different.

Courtney has really focused with the gymnasts the technical aspects of their tumbling as well to get better pop off the floor.

Really good intrasquad today. KJ was conservative on vault onto high resi but Jay talked about that being a double in the future. Handstands on bars looked awesome! Really ahead of the game there. Ryan’s DLO is crazy good but you can see where her feet deductions are holding her out of that lineup. Elena has problems finding the release point in her DLO which looks to be the reason she’s being held out too. Beam was VERY different. I think Desiderio was the only one with a switch 1/2 - still some rotating leaps but just 1/4s. Ki. Johnson now has a triple leap series, but she does it well. Floor looked good - Desiderio is a BEAST and may have her best year yet. Haleigh just did Haleigh things and looked amazing! Livie was out today just as a precaution and still looks like they’re nursing Kiya’s Achilles. Aleah is still resting up too - i think my biggest take away was how amazing Christina looked and how poised Haleigh looked. HB still ended with a double full btw, but it looked secure today in run through

Tori swang bars but it’s not meet ready yet. I think she did floor, but I can’t remember. For some reason i feel like i saw her warming up a full-in.

One thing that I’ve been saying over the last couple years is that Christina has just gotten better and better every season she’s been at LSU. After nationals and the way that she hit her floor routine the best I had ever seen her do, I knew that she was probably poised to come back for a fifth year and now that she is on the team this season, I’m incredibly excited to see what this year has in store for her. One thing that I hope the coaches do now that her form, her execution, her artistry, and her stamina on beam and floor are much better than they were her freshman year, I really hope that the coaches bump her back in the lineups on beam and floor so that she can potentially get a ten. Even though she is one of the cleanest and most consistent girls on the team on those two events who could lead us off incredibly well as she has, I think it would pay off more to have her later in the lineups, especially if everybody in front of her hits, since that’s where she was her freshman year on beam and I think she is much better now that she was then, and in a better position to be in that spot now.
