With both being DEs is there any chance this is good news regarding Harbor or am I reading too much into it?

Wouldn’t worry too much about the loss of Reed, word is that we are going to replace him with better alternative

I don’t expect Roy to return but I could be wrong.

I don't like the looks of this one bit.

Zavier Carter might not have the frame for buck, either. I've noticed him on special teams a lot this year and he's thinner than some of our safeties.

A few rebuttals to your list:

1. According to most I’ve heard from, Jaquelin Roy is likely headed to the NFL draft. (make no mistake, huge loss)

2. Dashawn Womack will be the primary candidate to replace BJ Ojulari as the “Buck” OLB. The 5* standout will be an early enrollee, and he’s going to push the upper classmen for that starting spot (he’s that good).

Other than that, I agree with your depth chart.

Takeaways: Based on the situation we’ve laid out here, it will be interesting to see how the staff handles the following:

—>Defensive Tackle (DT) - with the early departure of Roy to the draft, we only have three (3) interior DL with meaningful experience. Beyond that, all we have is two (2) RS-freshman who are unproven at the collegiate level. IMO, gotta get at least one (1) plug-and-play DT from either the HS ranks or txfr. portal.

—>”Buck” OLB & SDE - regardless of Zavier Carter, Desmond Little, & Quency Wiggins’ development, we will have inexperience back ups to our EDGE defenders. Based on what I’ve heard, sounds like they want to add depth w/ an experienced EDGE from the portal

We have plenty DEs we’ll surely live without Mickens , Reed on the other hand was our only DT commit

We’re going to hit the portal. Expect at least a couple portal pops on both the edge and interior.

Really been nothing to suggest that Langston is going to provide much quality help at this point.

He will be used in that role plenty but his ability to play in space greatly advantages House in his abilities to show different looks. Him just edge rushing every snap would take away from the advantage he presents schematically

They are planning to put Womack at Buck according to Shea

Howard is more a SDE

Perkins is to small for what they want at Buck and they need him inside

Wouldn't suprise if Wiggins ends up at 295+ and moves to DT
