I got immediately pissed off when I heard the death Valley comment. But then I heard him speak a few sentences, and the pain just lifted.

Probably just nervous/excited. Disappointed but no reason to be a dick. It's not like he trolled us. We sat on the offer as we should have and he took it personal. I don't think he's making a smart decision, but it is what it is.
