I'm not the guy to bash recruits but can we please stop with the "kids" comments. I don't know about anyone else but my arse was held accountable by my stepdad at 17-18 and I turned 19 in Marine Corps boot camp. If you say stuff at 18 that pisses people off you know it will, it's not like your 14.

Obvious he felt slighted and has a huge chip on his shoulder. Good luck to him and wish him the best. Needs to learn how to not burn bridges. The LSU staff did not go after him until Akers committed to Florida State and this apparently bothered him.
Next year this opens LSU up to going after 2 or 3 great backs.
Time will tell how Akers and Etienne pan out if we made a huge mistake wasting time on Akers.
Lets all focus on the great news of Phillips committing and not focus on negative Etienne comments.

I read Philips de-commitment post. He was nothing but respectful and hasn't made any bullshite comments about the school he just walked away from. I like that. Even if he's coming to us, there's no reason for any of that shite.
Etienne didn't have to make a backhanded comment on stage. He did that on purpose for a reason. There is nothing wrong with calling him out for acting like a bitch.
You SJWs run about here asking why kids leave LA and take shots on their way out. THE ABOVE QUOTE is why. LA is soft. Kids in MS in AL don't do this shite to their state schools when they do leave because they know they will face consequences for it at home until they graduate and leave. That obviously isn't the case in LA. You want a fence around the state? Pressure is how that happens. On kids. On coaches. On families. That is how the sausage gets made in the state next door. You may not like it, but it obviously works. And hand in hand with that, if anyone in MS or AL stepped out like this and made parting shots against the state schools while going out of state, I can guarantee you they would get called on it in a more severe way than on a message board.

He called a press conference. He wanted the lights on him. He talked shite while he was at it. I turned 18 in Marine Corps Boot Camp and they treated me just like the oldest recruit there, a 27 year old. You are either tough enough to take it or you're a crybaby. So if he wants to disrespect my LSU he can KICK FRIGGIN ROCKS.
