South Plaquemines has NEVER had 10+ D1 athletes on their team

I don’t think they’ve had 10 D1 commits since Katrina combined

7 since 2003, according to On3. Last was in 2016. 2* DL Johnathan Wilson (Memphis)

Highest rated 2011 4* CB Bradley Sylve (Bama) started 4 games in 4 years.

Looks like in the 2008 season they had 4 on the same team, but two were soph, one jr and one sr. Couple of Tech and Tulane guys.

He's a situational back and slot receiver. He's not a guy that you run the offense through

This might be the dumbest thing i've ever seen on this board - and that's saying something. Jahmyr Gibbs clocked 199lbs at the combine, which means he probably played somewhere between 190 and 195 in college. Was he a "situational back"? What about Brian Westbrook?

Harlem Berry will probably be 190lbs by the time he suits up for the first game of his true freshman season, which will put him right in range with those other guys. Who were elite, game-changing backs.

Appreciate you mentioning the Ruston duo. Jordan "Jet" Hayes is an awesome player but he is not the best player on Ruston's team as listed. I would put Aidan Anding, Zheric Hill and Josh Brantley ahead of Hayes as far as talent goes. Brooks is definitely a sleeper recruit with good size and speed.

Kudos to Xavier Ford of Leesville who received an offer from Tulane this week! He's a very good player from a family of athletes.

They’ve done really well down there for the amount of kids they have to pick from

But word from down there lately is that not everyone goes to practice and the kids are just apathetic about it for the most part.. sucks because when they were good, they were good. I miss the old days when they had other schools (boothville, phoenix, port sulphur, buras)

Will post some pics when I get home or in the morning. I went straight from Opelousas to an 8 man football game.

Neither Berry or simon are starting in 25 with Jackson and Durham at LSU.
Durham will start in 26 with Berry and TJ backing him up and a top tier freshman backing them. The 26 RB is the guy who we should be arguing about. We're in great shape at RB with the guys we have. Would have been nice to have simon but if he goes to the down horns then he's Tigerbait.

This is a QB who will make an overzealous defense look silly with a bootleg.

You’re the first I’ve seen to not rank Berry as the #1 RB in this class. So do we take your assessment of Berry or all the guys who do this shite for a living?

You are free to do whatever you want.

But lol if you think recruiting rankings hold true, esp at RB.

The chances most of these guys are decent college football players: decent

The chances the recruiting services (or myself) nail the ranking of who ends up the best in order: close to 0%
