I'm sure we all know this is the case but now that Pelini is actually being let go it makes sense. Marcus Freeman come on down.

I hope the right hire can get Davis back on board.

I'm assuming OP meant Raejon decommitted pending the changes at DC, and now wants the CINCY DC to come coach at LSU.

You do realize he committed before Pelini was hired right?

Pelini being his selling point is laugh out loud funny if true.

It's 13th in yards and 7th in scoring. He's been quite good there.

Davis did say “for now”.

IDK man. Cincy has been good, so it stands to reason that any DC for a good G5 team gets mentioned. But Freeman played for Fickell at OSU. I don't see him leaving his coach, but i'm often wrong.

Aranda was a great attractor for LBs though, and I guess Raesjon grew to like Pelini. Honestly if we hire the right DC the defense will figure it out in the long run, Raesjon Davis or not.

Correct and to Marcus Freeman is a former LB for Ohio State who has played a few years in the league. He's young as well. Seems like a great choice if you can get him.

I wanted Ed to hire Freeman when Aranda left, he's a young coach with plenty of HC potential, he will never get the respect he deserves coaching at Cincy.

The Cincinnati defense currently ranks 13th in the country in total defense. They rank top 20 in the country in passing defense, rushing defense, and red zone defense. And 7th in the country in scoring defense and topped the AAC in scoring defense for the 3rd straight season.

The Bearcats finished atop the 2019 AAC ranks in scoring defense for the second-straight season and ranked among the league's top three in rushing and total defense.

The 2018 Bearcats Defense led the American in rushing defense, scoring defense and total defense and ranked among the Top-15 in the NCAA FBS in all three categories.

Raesjon was waiting to see what happened with the coaches right? Well he decommitted this morning so that was honestly a clue to Pelini being fired. I like Marcus Freeeman because he's young, he's a former LB at Ohio State and played a few years in the league and he has their defense playing well.

I'm all for it. I've watched a lot of Cincy this year given their success. Those boys love to hit. Wouldn't mind having him here. But any moderate success he has, and we're in the same boat we were in after Aranda.

It wasn’t. Davis didn’t want to play for Pelini

But I don’t think Davis is a take right now

It kinda was, the 4-3 attacking defense and all, its also an easy point for negative recruiting. You don't think Raesjon Davis is a take? Uhhmm you want to explain why?

That's a reason to hire a guy--him being good enough that other people might want him--not a reason to pass on him.
