Question about Ricks

Did something happen that I missed? I‘m on Twitter, instagram and some of the paid sites and haven’t seen anything that would suggest LSU’s favorable position with Ricks has changed significantly. Is it just the typical catastrophe syndrome and PTSD that comes from fans on this board or did I miss something?

Chatter about Bama making a last minute offer and lots of people thinking it's over and he's headed to Tuscaloosa. We'll see tonight.

Bama is trying to walk that thin line that A&M did last year. If you pay your incoming freshman too much in NIL deals, it’s tough to get those now rich kids to fully buy into the process.

Yea it’s clear that’s not true.
A more accurate statement is that it’s clear we aren’t gonna drop bags at all costs when it’s apparent that that is the ONLY interest the kid has in his recruitment.
Frankly, I’m more than fine with it. I’d rather cheer for kids who will give some effort and play with some pride.
Hopefully Kelly can build a culture where the opt outs are the exception to the rule. Having kids who aren’t COMPLETELY about the dollar in the locker room will help.

Word on the street is Bama gave him some big offer late after they missed on Damari Brown. Several “insiders” on paid sites say it’s a lock, and now several credible and usually-accurate predictors have CB’d Bama.

This doesn't seem to be the case, seems like we are reluctant to put out, but ultimately decide too, when it's already to late. Happened with Matthews last year and Ricks this year.

No, it's the overwhelming feeling that this same situation has played out countless times before regarding elite players. The pattern is they commit or give of excessively strong 'lean LSU' vibes, then at the very last possible minute usually sign with someone else. LSU gets strung along and might slow play other great players thinking they have a certain guy at a position locked up. Then the proverbial rug gets pulled out.
That's why everyone gets so worked up.

A lot of signs that Alabama snaked in with a higher bid at the last minute.

How is this a response to what I posted? Are you saying our insiders are saying that we haven't spent any NIL on our #6 class? That is a wild take from them.
