i think the staff cooled on Leavitt... seems like they are going all in on Sorsby, and that's great...
i was all aboard the Leavitt train, until Sorsby entered the chat...
another guy that we should look at, not for our starter, but for depth, Zeon Criss-Gremillion... local kid, from BR, played at Madison Prep... good size @ 6'3", 210... good potential backup, and if he develops, maybe push for starter in 2027

LSU has Pop Houston coming in the 2027 class. He is head and shoulders better than this kid.

maybe so, but we still need bodies... even if MVB stays, we need at least 2 QBs in the portal this year... and if you notice, i didn't Zeon would be an auto starter after the QB we get this year.... i said IF he develops, MAYBE push for starter...

not worth the investment or the gamble
There are better safer options

Pop Houston will take at least 2 maybe 3 years to develop before he starts at LSU. Dude is only 5’9” and looked average when he faced LCA and Karr this season. They play zero defense in Shreveport area.

The days of having quality depth or done. Any QB worth having that’s not starting, will be transferring.

Gimme Duece Knight or Colton Joseph.
Dual threats with multiple years of eligibility left.
Then invest as much as possible in the trenches.

No CJ Bailey?
Mine would look like:
1. Trinidad Chambliss
2. Brendan Sorsby
3. Sam Leavitt
4. CJ Bailey
5. Byrum Brown
6. Drew Mestemaker
7. Colton Joseph
8. DJ Lagway
9. Josh Hoover

me also, Lagway and Leavitt both would be a disaster for LSU.
Too many really good options to go after either of those guys, especially with the amount of $$ they will be asking.....which is absurd to me.

Don’t overthink it… Nuss is coming back with “unfinished business” to take care of.

Sorsby is smooth and can layer the ball pretty well.
Is lsu still the leader for him?
Haven't really been on here the last few days.

People have to be realistic. Bailey is linked to Miami, Meste is definitely going to OSU, Brown is most likely to Auburn, Leavitt’s injury should be a concern
Chambliss
Sorsby
Everyone else that is an option is below those 2. Those should be by far the top 2 and Kiffin has made it clear they are

I wouldn't use "Head and shoulderr" to discribe a 5'-10" tall player although he is 5 star quality.

Ole Miss seemed to have it... Chambliss started off as their back up... he ain't too bad, last i checked...
i'm not saying you have 2 star QBs, where if 1 goes down, you got another superstar behind him... i know that's not likely to happen...
but you need to be more than 3 players away from a fricking preferred walk on QB... we ended the season with a preferred walkon as the backup... that's just fricking insane...
