Looks like some players are not enjoying LSU having to pull back on some of our commits. We were in this guys (Princely Umanmielen) Top 5 before he comitted to Texas. Hopefully this is more of a outlier rather than a trend idealogically from recruits, especially guys from Texas. Link to tweet

Some responses crack me up. especially salty Georgia fans calling Coach O a fake cajun

Damn. This makes me feel super bad. I know you gotta do it if you wanna crack into that top tier of perennial CFP contenders, but it's still a bummer.

Edit: lol i didn't realize this wasn't a former LSU commit and didn't read correctly at first--he's just saying that we would've kicked him outta the class. Eh whatever. I don't feel so bad anymore.

Double edit: Also, after looking through his twitter page, it doesn't seem like he's really upset about the fact that he may not have made it into LSU's class; seems almost like he's giving a compliment or commenting on the strength of the class, considering that earlier this week he was retweeting people saying that we should be #1 in the CFP

He is just salty.

His tweet also reads as if a 10-year-old wrote it.

I said it before, this term "processing"needs to go away in the context in which it is being used. You can't process someone who is not part of your program yet. It's like saying you "divorced" your girlfriend.

Saban shuffling off players that he feels have underperformed, that's one thing. This? Not so much.

He sounds like a pussy.

So he can decommit, but the school is supposed to be loyal to him?

I’ll pass.

When commitment means something to recruits maybe this kind of stuff won’t be part of the recruiting world, but the players created the recruiting culture as we know it

Didn't he decommit from Texas? I like how this kids perspective is "I can decommit from a school and it's fine but if a school does it it's not".

Here's the ironic thing in regards to offers and commits/decommits...

For every recruit that commits limits one of his breatheren's options by filling up spots. And when they unnecessarily commit, knowing they aren't 100%, they are taking away from another recruit.

The school isn't the villan, the less-than-committed commits are. But those are the one's that are the most outspoken.

Yep, but they don’t get it and the ones who cry about it are the same ones who made the recruiting scene such a sleazy underworld with their hands out and lack of loyalty to their own commitment

Commit to a school and know what the word means. Then recruits can cry when they get told to look around. Until then.....

This is ridiculous. Some people try to make it seem like this happens annually. We're having a phenomenal season, and recruits that traditionally might not be interested are wanting in as a result. CEO would be foolish not to process some 3 stars for top 100 recruits. If they get upset, that's understandable, but any school in this situation would do the same.

Oh, and

Every one of these kids goes to camps, goes to Elite this and Elite that, goes to Openings and Closings.... the ALL understand pecking order and know damn well where they stand.

Having someone say we like Player A, but we like Player B better is entrenched in their world.

Stop sweating the "processing"s.

The coaches couldn’t care less about ‘stars’. They highly value their own evals, regardless of what some keyboard hack has them rated.

Princely Umanmielen Knows a thing or two about loyalty and commitment. That’s why he committed to Texas and never wavered one bit....

...nevermind, he’s actually a hypocrite who told Texas to kick rocks after being committed for a whopping 3 months.
