2 elite NFL children QBs

THat is an add jumble of words.

Only one of his kids is an elite QB. The other was just very good at best.

It doesn't take long to call roll for the QB's that have won 2 Super Bowls

It's almost like it's a team sport.

That doesn't Eli isn't very good, just not elite.

Or maybe Jim Plunkett and Bob Griese are elite as well.

He still got the MVP in both games. Not bad

Can only imagine how the game is going to look in 5 years now that JUCO also doesn’t count against eligibility

We should send all high school players to JUCO and have college teams draft from JUCO.

JUCO has always been the farm team. Now it is FCS and G5.
Are late to the party? They literally announced that JUCO time won't be counted towards your college sports eligibility. I know people are saying, "if it holds up", but if we've learned anything about how the NCAA has been recently, once they open the box, they can't close it back. That means somebody can go 2 years of JUCO and then still have 5 years to play four.

Essentially develop mentally and physically for 2 years, get onto a G5 team for 1-2 years, and use that as a springboard for a power 4 spot. You'd still have 2-3 years left depending on when/if you decide to take a redshirt. Or, you could be so good that you get a lower tier power 4 slot right out of JUCO. Several guys have had zero stars coming out of high school only to become highly recruited 2 years later out of JUCO.

They should all get paid. Even down to Pop Warner/pee wee. They don’t realize how much money they bring into these daycares and elementary schools.

Everyone saying they didn’t have the talent, they went on the road and stunned Acadiana and Teurlings in the playoffs. Lost to ASH in a competitive game in the semis. They were essentially a final four team in a top 10 bracket nationally.

Why would he if he’s going #1 in the draft to the Saints?

I'd say it has more to do with the fact they don't get every good player from the metro area anymore.

What does the portal have to do with John Curtis not putting out college-caliber talent? I’m failing to completely understand this correlation.

Yes and so will Eli be, because he won 2 super bowls. Joe Namath is also in the Hall of Fame. He is also not elite.

Do they still have their Redshirting program? I remember my son after we played them telling me their DL he was trying to block all looked like seniors in college.

I have no doubt the portal and NIL have had detrimental consequences to some high school kids looking for major or mid major conference offers. That said, those offers realistically should be trickling down to the smaller d1 conferences, FCS schools, even div 2 and div 3.

Came here to say essentially the same thing. The transfer portal doesn’t reduce the total number of roster spots available. It simply changes the distribution of where those roster spots are located.

In fact, theoretically the portal should increase the total number of roster spots available for HS recruits since not everyone who enters the portal finds a home.

To the extent that high school recruits are suffering, it has more to do with relaxed redshirt rules and more eligibility waivers IMO. These factors result in players having longer CFB careers on average, and should theoretically reduce the amount of spots available for HS recruits. There’s also an argument that NIL should reduce the number of players who enter the draft early (since they are getting paid in college) but I haven’t seen any actual data on that.
