Thats kinda a waffling statement towards the end there.

If he didn't have his grades, he wasn't going anywhere except JUCO. He expected LSU to go with that just because uKS is so desperate that they would ? How many of the other LA kids that committed to uKS early are still there and are actually still going there ??

Oh well, there's still Tony St Julien out there, and he may be a better fit anyway, since he is bigger, physically, and could take a few more hits. Same with Slade Bolden- cycle back around to those guys, if they have LSU interest (St Julien seems to do so, at least).

These LA kids that can really ball that are still seriously committed to uKS are truly selling themselves short.

uKS is no JUCO, by the way. If you dont have the grades and scores, you aren't going there either.

Had they not lost Brule', Chase and Nelson already, I might have agreed with you.

I think uKS took commits from some kids with serious grades issues, hoping to bag some of their friends in the process who actually had grades and scores to qualify. In short, uKS "used" Pooka and Harris, to get to Whop and the others who might qualify.

Good point, skullhawk. Why would Pooka Williams sign with Kansas, when he should have other options?

Not sure about his grades. But if Williams is going to sign with somebody in Division I on Dec. 20, that school should know his grades will be okay.

This situation does show how the new early signing date can really make it challenging for schools hoping to land those recruits whose academic status could be borderline.

LOL, sounds like he's preparing Kansas for the ole "I'm breaking up with you, but I'd like to remain friends" talk.

For some reason some people are just pessimistic by nature and lack the confidence to see just how green the grass is in their own front yard. The state of Louisiana produces enough skill position athletes that losing one, two or even three in one recruiting class won't hurt, especially when a staff is able to go out-of-state and get top notch athletes. I'm sure we all would like the kid to sign with LSU, but, if he doesn't, LSU will be fine. I can only think of three Louisiana players who signed elsewhere that may have hurt LSU, Cam Robinson, Landon Collins and Kenny Young. Other than those three, LSU got players who filled spots left by those not going to LSU. There may be more, but those three are the only ones I can recall off the top of my head.

Haha. Wow. What's your point here? Those guys were all pre Saban. We had tons of trouble getting top guys to stay in state in the 90s. That's why it was so awesome when DiNardo landed Faulk and Booger. Getting the top instate guys was not the norm.

We didn't really recruit him as a QB.

If he goes to Kansas he will get a 1000 yards a season and never win more than 3 games a year. Also, the area pretty much sucks. Enjoy!

At first no. But did offer him late as a QB. He stayed loyal and went to MSU

Half of this statement is true. Graduates in December.
