Please tell me that a different person/people are evaluating talent in portal this year

I think it's safe to say that LSU whiffed on several portal players last year, so I'm sure CBK has put a new person in charge of identifying talent in the portal, right?
Who was the best portal player last year? I'm struggling to find one.

Do you want to talk about how good they hit in 2022? Or just point out the negative? Plus, they had some good transfers in this past season (Swinson, Jefferson, Diggs)

Add shand to that as well.
I know savion Jones has worst gap integrity on earth, but our de room is very deep. Shand and swinson both shined last 4 games of the year, and shand lined up inside on some rush downs. Savion, swinson, shand, womack, howard... looking forward to this group next year.

And Zy Alexander was coming into his own when he got hurt. They did miss on some transfers, but they also hit on some. It is off to a good start this year.

For clarity everyone on this board was excited about Harris and Chestnut. Those two are probably the biggest let downs.

Diggs was an incredible addition, but we signed a boat load of transfer portal guys last year and if you can only name him, that's a problem.
Tell me another transfer portal player that had a big impact on the program. Aaron Anderson showed flashes here and there, but was also nonexistent in several games. We have to hit on a lot more players than 1 or 2 each recruiting cycle.
If you name anyone on the defense, then you don't understand that the portal is supposed to bring in impact players, not projects. Our defense ranked as one of the worst defenses in the entire country.
If we can't use the portal to our advantage, then we need to stick to signing just HS players.
