But these two are different, they are not a "package". They are from different towns, different schools. Those packages seem to rarely work out.

Out of state.

Out of state.

Out of state.

Correlates.

Just pray you guys are right here and everything goes great next season.

We can spin it all day but we aint got em until the sign. I will be waiting on that bottom line.

Spin what all day? Your post is full of assumptions and correlations that have 0 relevance to this year.

In recruiting each year after players sign a new story starts....

So shut the frick up.

Uh, no. This is demonstrably false. We get more than we keep, therefore...

Maybe we shouldn't even offer anyone until noon on national signing day.

Isn't this the same for every team?

If you can't enjoy recruiting, just stay off the site. You will be much happier.

Really
Miss St and Ole Miss are not giving up on those guys and the home state always stays in focus until the very end

No one on this board knows how the coaches slow play committed recruits

When you stop hearing from your committed team, it's usually a good sign to start looking

Every school ends with more commits than decommits but look big picture. How many offers do we put out? 200 or so? Of those 200 maybe 60-70 or so are legit options. How many commit? End of story. Ask coaches and they'd tell you they'd rather have a commit and try to hold onto it than fighting just to get a commit. This weekend we had 30-40 takeable prospects on campus and we will be lucky to sign more than 7-10 of them. Those odds are long

I'm not expending any more energy getting excited about commitments until they are actually signed. Dylan Moses was "committed" for what, three or four years? Then he ditches LSU at the 11th hour. Yeah, it's good to have players "committed," but it really means nothing until they sign.

“ miserable”

When exactly havent LSU football fans been miserable? Perhaps, a January in 2004 and then a January 2008. Some seem to want to act like this is unusual. It isnt!

We have fans out there who would argue that when we went 13-1, played in the national championship game, and finish #2 we had a failed yr. In comparison to that, what is going on now is much to do about nothing.

I am happy. I enjoy the process, but damn man, it isnt like one should blindly be ecstatic.

Very glad we got these two, but let us not lose them either.

We keep some and lose some. But last year we had three commit and we were all so excited and we did not keep one of them, period. That is fact.

We need to have a very stellar year and not fo 6-6 or 7-5. Hell, maybe even 8-4 could warrant our current place at #13 in recruiting. Just the nature of the game and playing it right.

Not gettinf my hopes up on any commit this early. If you cant see the game has changed with "commits" then you havent been following too close.

According to CBS Sports, over 80% of commits keep the commitment until signing day. So I’m pretty stoked about getting these two guys on board.

Also, these guys read this board. The negativity would scare anyone. Stop.

Remember this too, LSU added a plethora of new recruiters so to stay on these guys unlike before. I will also add that 2019 recruiting year is completely different from last year.

All I know is it's better to have a guy commit then to have a guy that's "all LSU" but won't pull the trigger. Right Patrick Surtain!

How many times I have to say I am not being negative, but trying to temper expectations.

Those same expectations are what get other posters like the couple above me to stop caring altogether. I still do, but realize getting a commitment this early is hit or miss as much as signing day.

You claim 80%, but there are always outliers every year with odd occurences and fall-our and also surprise commits.

Any recruit who decides to drop a commitment over some random poster doesnt have much "chest" to begin with.
