He’s the best player in the state without an offer. his offer list says that. That isn’t my opinion.

I named 4 other guys. Fact of the matter is some guys are going to garner offers when things open up. I feel like people are losing sight these kids have yet to play their SR year.

Coleman play his? I’ll go ahead and trust the staff with who they want in state at this point......We can’t take all the best in state talent without leaving major gaps in the roster. Some in state kids, highly ranked, simply won’t make the cut these days

I hope he makes it and don't see why some others have a problem with it if he does?

They will lose 4 WRs off the roster next year

They wanted 4 WR in the 2020 class & only got 3, missing out on 2 big targets.

Devonta Lee has moved positions.

So that leaves 5 guys under scholarship currently on the squad. They need to replenish that position, and fast!

I was thinking the same thing originally about WR and Safety. I now think it would be better to spread it across 2 classes(4 each). Assimilating 4 WR will be tough enough. The key will be making sure that Palmer and Jenkins get some real playing time this year. The same goes for at least one of the freshman WR. in case we lose all 4 upperclassmen (probable outcome).

Based on what we know - production, size, and the little bit of athletic testing that we have available on him - I’m all for offering Coleman

Ideally Marshall stays for his SR year, but you kind of have to plan against that. A grad transfer would help there.

And I agree you’d always like to spread it out but say you can RS either Adams or koy Moore this year then a guy like Coleman next year, that breaks it up a bit.

In a normal year yes. My opinion, If there are no camps no. So much WB talent in state and nationally.. I have read your comments on him playing cb . I have never seen his tape playing corner, but he would really have to be talented for DBU. Love his Basketball game. That’s the sport I can really comment on with any real knowledge. Good luck to kid nothing but the best to him wherever he lands.and

I didnt say CB, I think safety. He's going to fill out to over 200lbs

And his Sr season will be his camp.

His basketball game consists of dunks. Shows his athleticism. But he doesn't really show any other skills. Not shooting, not ball handling. Remember, he is 6'2". He looks huge playing next to small white kids. But what he does on the court applies better to a career in football than it does in basketball. That is why there is such contrast in his offer list between the two sports.

My bad thought you said CB. Film I sa on kid playing BB looked good. Good luck to kid wherever he lands. If LSU great , if somewhere else tiger bait.

I just saw 247 update has Sage as a S...if the staff feels the same way, then Gilbert is probably out

In article he says they see him as hybrid S/NB...between Sage & Dakota there, in addition to Gee I just can’t see anther take at S

I think Ryan has always been a safety target.

Gilbert went from 256 to 164 in the latest ranking. Shea mentions he talks to Busch weekly.

Keon Coleman is up to 5 in the latest state rankings, too.

Nabers is up from 149 to 143. LSU needs to look at his as a CB.

Andrew Jones, LB John ehret 6-1 215 joins LA top 10. 160 overall. Uga, FSU among his 20 offers.
