And if so, not much you can do about that and we should be happy we have a top tier guy committed to LSU. Not sure where you are going with this.

Me neither it just sounds like sour grapes to say it's because we didn't make his brother QB coach.

Glad we have Franks. Seems like he has the attitude do well here. Not that Shea didn't.

That's right. Dylan moses will eat him. Bye Shea. You're tigerbait. Now you can cry out the war cry "hotty totty". Strikes fear into the heart, doesn't it. Good luck in Missishitty

He is gonna be wishing he chose a different school when he has Ed Alexander, Ed Oliver, Rashard Lawrence, Michael Divinity, and Keion Joyner chasing him down while throwing into that secondary.

I think, and hope, he lives to regret this decision. Props for deciding early, though.

He wasn't from Louisiana and is currently in Shreveport which is barely Louisiana to begin with.

Yep. Kind of like New Orleans isn't a part of Lousisiana because it is in its on little world. Or Lake Charles because it is too close to TX. Well Monroe, no it's a part of MS. So the new state map only really incudes: Alexandria, Winnfield, Lafayette, Baton Rouge and all points in between.

Who cares? Franks is committed and is going to win more games in college than Patterson will. That's all that matters.

We don't need guys with no chest anyway who don't want to play for Louisiana!

Most of the big fish that have left have done rather well.......no chest? I don't think so.

I'd like to have seen him play at LSU as well, but I cannot blame him for not coming to a program that has shown mediocre QB development in recent years (sans 2013).

Both schools got great recruits. In 2-3 years, the Ole Miss-LSU game is going to be a lot of fun watching Franks and Patterson duel against each other

I actually agree with this. Y'all are getting some serious WR talent plus Patterson is packaged and ready to go from day one in that system. Van Jefferson, Lodge, and Metcalf next year, man that is a ton of quality weapons.

ETA: I can see a 2018 duel with RSSo Franks going against Junior Patterson.

He's Tiger Bait now! He comes from a small christian school and Hugh Freeze is a good coach, man, and recruiter. Probably a good fit for him, but I hope we beat his brains out IF he ever gets the start.

Hope Franks doesn't go the MLB route, or we'll be left holding the bag at QB ... again!

So he goes to OM, where they dream of having mediocre QB development for it's entire history (sans The Mannings)

They went head to head at camp last year and not a single person came away with the impression that Patterson looked better than Franks. This was just throwing the ball. If Patterson can't outshine Franks in that setting then I think LSU has the right guy on board.

No player is worth hiring an unproven entity.

I think Miles is a great coach but like most coaches he has his faults. He surrounds himself with a solid staff that helps to correct those faults.

Hiring Sean May have been an amazing hire, but he is unproven.

Freeze is not some great coach. The big difference is that Miles has way better coordinators.

"In-state" prospect is pretty weak to tag him with considering he isn't native Louisiana and hasn't been here that long.

People get hung up way too much on the Louisiana prospects like we shouldn't ever lose any. Pretty hypocritical when you see how many guys we poach from Texas and other states.

All we need is an offensive line that is serviceable so Shea doesn't get gang raped when we play y'all and Alabama

Congrats to Ole Miss

Sucks that we have to play him every year but we have an elite QB too. Good luck to you, Shea.
