Overall for those who follow LSU Football recruiting closely

How do you think we are doing; would you grade it A, BC, D etc. thanks for your input.

If BK were coach, I'd say D. But I trust Lane and I am optimistic that this class plus the portal is gonna make it an A+

I’d say there’s likely some unknowns about the new players we weren’t expecting prior to Kiffin coming. You’d like to see less players delay signing but nobody knows the real reasons why.

You know in A Christmas Story when Ralphy is day dreaming about his theme and the teacher starts giving him A + + + + + + + +? We're getting pretty close to that level.
If we flip the QB and see Lamar Browns name as a Tiger then we have done it.

If we retain Henderson, Deuce, Lamar and Cooley, I'm saying solid A.
Losing either of Finney or Purter hurts, but you'd have to think one for sure is coming.
I haven't kept up closely with any trending things, I'm just looking at the current list, grading and immediate impact.
The portal is going to really determine the success of next year methinks.

If those committed sign and maybe we pull Duckworth, then it is a huge success this late in the game.
Is it a great class overall? No.
We need to get back to Top 5 classes and then let Kiffin work his magic in the portal to fill in a few spots here and there.
That is what will get us back to perennial contenders.

I'd give it a B+ with a chance for an A. He needs a couple more of those previously committed linemen to sign before he gets an A......Cooley, Brown, Geralds.

I don’t expect much out of this class. I’m sure a lot have recommitted and will go elsewhere. I expect Kiffin will focus on the portal.

Well, we don't know but there are two very understandable reasons why they would delay. Defensive players want confirmation on who'll be coaching them and the money is presumably creeping up as they hesitate. It's a damn strong guess that it's a combination of those two things. There's a very slim possibility that some recruits, (or parents), found the Kiffin song and dance distasteful enough to reconsider but I doubt if that's a big number.
