Except for BTJ, there is no player on the radar that I wanted to sign.
You didn't want Jordan Moko?

In fact, signing 22 and holding at least 3 for the portal should be the standard moving forward.
Three seems like a bit much.

Not having a top 2 class after that NC, and I don't really care about the ranking, but in overall quality is utterly absurd and a failure.

How do you know we don’t have a top two class? Our 2017 class was the best in America but it was ranked #7.

Vol, I saw your other post about the chance we go 0-fer. Does that include Saivion Jones?

I know that he's committed and everything, but I have yet to witness a kid who says the only reason he hasn't signed is so that he can sign with his friends/teammates actually wind up signing. Literally every time that line gets thrown around, there is a flip, and it makes sense, because the line itself makes no sense (you can fax in your paperwork and still take part in a ceremonial signing).

Is Jones truly locked in? Or is this another potential loss?

If you truly believe that we wouldn't gladly swap our class for Bama's or OSU's, you are on drugs

I don't know anything about him and neither do you, besides some measureables and a video of him dunking a basketball.

Based on what? The old paradigm where losing players to transfer was rare?

There have been over 20 players the last few seasons that spent less time at LSU than Joe Burrow.

Adapt or die.

So, piss on the LA Boys that want to play for the home state and take Bama's class instead.

Happens when u have a bunch of retirees and assholes on your coaching staff. Hopefully hiring younger guys will help close in the future

Getting those 2 is fine.

Leaving 3 spots open for later additions is also fine.

We may be able to pull in a LB or 2 from the transfer portal.

O's strategy sounds fine to me.

It's Brian Thomas or bust... and that's fine.

Ya'll gotta back up and relax.

Cool with me. Kudos to staff for not waiting on him and signing 4 other potentially elite players. (read that somewhere but I totally agree) We'll see if we can bag one of those Tennessee backers but even if we don't use all 3 on transfers there are worse things than having the 2 or 3 available schollies next year.

Good this is the perfect year to take 2 or 3 and save one, shite I’d take two of the Tennessee LB’s and be thrilled.

What OLs are we targeting in the portal that will be available in 2022?

I guess I wasn’t clear on that. I meant take 1 OL this year who can spend a year in the program as a backup snd hopefully contribute in 2022.

Meh. He’s a project and we’re getting ready to sign a huge OL class in 22. Huge upside, but still a project who probably won’t start for 2-3 years.

What we need more is a guy who can step in next year when we lose a bunch of guys and be a bridge to the young guys we are about to bring in, plus Dillinger.

I agree with you on that. Of course you could always bring in an immediate starter transfer next year.

True, but it’s worth a look if we end up with 3 spots open.
