If you have a recruit you have led for for 2.5 years and they choose not to sign with you during the early signing period, might want to not turn away all your other options for that scholarship spot. The writing was on the wall with Surtain whether he wanted to believe it or not.

That he's unqualified now by every metric to be LSU's head coach.

By all metrics I am not sure Orgeron learns from any of his fricking mistakes. maybe too much crab boil in his roux, but that's about the only life lesson that clown has learned. certainly nothing regarding coaching

We didn't hire Orgeron so he could learn how to recruit. LSU sucks right now. I wouldn't even play for us.

We knew that in November of 2016 but unfortunately the AD didn't.

the OP made a good point. no reason for retards to turn it into a bash O thread. SAint Miles missed on a lot of players. everyone does.

I would encourage my 5 star son to go to Bama also at this point if I am being honest. It sucks to say that, but it is true.

Ehhhh writing wasn’t on the wall. Surtain waited to take all of his OVs in January. LSU had a substantial lead before then. Bama visit was a big difference maker, as has recruits OV to LSU been the swing factor for us many times.

bingo. NO ONE left on the board after the early signing period is a lock. should've seen this coming. if a layer waits till nsd, he is unsure and playing the field, surtain set this up a long time ago. hell, he probably wasn't coming here for a few months now.

O has shown the ability to change and learn from his mistakes. I hope the opportunity to learn slows the frick down though!

I held out hopes for recruiting until Surtain and looking at how this entire class was handled.

O is a task recruiter: being told to go get this guy hard by a HC. He's not a big picture guy: deciding who he should go after and how to recruit primary and contingent players.

O was supposed to be a master recruiter. Shouldn’t he have already known this?

Being a great recruiter means you are good at saying the right things. Does not matter what you say when your actions speak much louder than your words and they say you have no idea how to run a football program. Every coach in the nation could negatively recruit Orgeron at this point.
